A wide variety of interesting modules, however there isn't any choice until 4th year. The structure and order of modules is changing every year as the course is only 4 years old, which is good but feels at times like you're a bit of a trial run! Most lecturers are really helpful and happy to answer any questions, however email replies can be a bit slow. Assessment types are varied, including exams, online exams, essays, reviews, reports and portfolios. This feels a lot better and more accurate than exams at the end of every semester. The course is really enjoyable and unique.

Modules are based around different clinical and biological topics useful for working in a clinical or research environment. Assessments are almost equally split between courseworks and exams and decent feedback is given throughout the process.

Although this degree can be challenging and a lot of content, it is also interesting and keeps you motivated to engage in tutorials to discuss theories, your views and public issues. This course does contain a lot of sociology which may seem irrelevant but when you begin to apply crime you are quickly able to see the link between theories, crime and society as a whole. To begin to learn criminology you do need the basis of sociology to understand concepts and the whys, what's, hows and whos! And apply that to the criminal side of society.
