The lecturer was rather knowledgeable on his subject, although there were some mistakes in regards to certain elements, and a differing opinion could lead to a lower mark. I loved studying this module although the lecturers book was the only textbook is d in seminars and people were penalised in assessments for not citing it.

This was a 40 credit module where you got to pick the role you wanted to do which was really good for Scenography because it allowed me to be a stage manager for the show. It involved a long rehearsal process and putting on four shows which was very enjoyable and worthwhile doing.

The Celtic Studies degree is a wonderful course. It combines all aspects of Celtic culture as we know it--linguistics (which at Aberystwyth is the best in the country, being the only university at which you can study all four Celtic languages), literature, history, and culture. In your first year you learn Welsh, so that you may use it through the course in your consecutive years as your language of study, which in turn helps you to better understand the materials and other languages you take. First year is also comprised of courses other students, particularly those on exchange, will take as a cultural aside, so the workload is quite minimal and therefore a wonderful way to ease into university study.

Studying for a history degree at Aberystwyth is enjoyable. The lecturers are extremely good for the most part (there is the odd one or two who aren't as good at their work) and the assessments are fair - an exam and an essay for each module.

I've found the Scenography side to be extremely useful and enjoyable due to the amount of practical projects that we can get involved with to out what we're learning into practice. The drama side so far has been a lot more theory based which isn't something that particularly interests me but it does come in useful.

By far my favourite module of my first year of university! Exploring such a variety of poets and authors just adds to the excitement and probably the only essay I've actually enjoyed writing in my entire life! The teaching at Aberystwyth is phenomenal and the facilities improve this too. Attending Aberystwyth will forever be one of the best decisions I've made in life without a doubt.

The topic matters of this module were very interesting but this was not matched by the lecture content or delivery. I don't feel that my knowledge was extended from my study of psychology in college which is what I was hoping for - I used an old A Level Psychology book for exam revision.

Tough class but well worth the effort. Many new industrial skills and real life applications are taught with plenty of examples and case studies.

Teaching by module leader Rhydian Harry is excellent and provides plenty of additional resources.

Seminars by both Rhydian Harry and Rob Bowen are well designed to support content.

Fantastic class if you are interested in global products and expanding complex business strategy.

This module was by far the best module I have taken at this university. To be taught by Neil Glasser, who is world-renowned in glaciology was absolutely brilliant. I enjoyed the course content and I feel the mode of assessment was brilliant as it incorporated a whole array of skills, ranging from essays to presentations to specialist GIS work. The lectures were always very intense with large amounts of information being given however, the reward is that you are taught by a fantastic lecturer who is providing you with expert knowledge.

This module is a core module for Business and Management students and offers an in depth understanding of how strategic decisions in businesses are made and what aspects on the environment, both external and internal, may effect the strategic direction of the business. The application of knowledge is transferred to the assignment in a critical way with analysis and recommendations being made from taking practical and theoretical aspects of the course to come to a conclusion. Overall the teaching and content of this module are great.
