This course is amazing for so many reasons. The diversity and variety that you can cross-over is ace! Being able to explore different areas of creativity with genuine enthusiasm and support from your tutors opened so many doors. Being able to access workshops with expert facilities covering a wide range of mediums meant I was able to push myself from my comfort zone. By using materials and techniques that I would have otherwise not even contemplated before I have been able to make a foundation for myself that I feel proud and confident to go forward with. I have learnt so much from both the positive and negative experiences of university life, I'd highly recommend Bath Spa University.

The module provides a real world experience within the boundaries of the lecture/seminar environment. Assessments ranged from group presentations, individual reports and group project initiation documents. All of the assessments are related and based on what could be used in an actual business. Some examples are the use of a fishbone analysis to find the root cause of a problem, and the Project Initiation Document (PID) which we have put together, in groups of about 16, with each of us having specific job roles which we applied for. We are also marked individually and as a group which encourages teamwork and communication.

Business and management covers a huge range of aspects of a business and how it operates with its external environment. The course focuses on wel known businesses and helps you to gain a deeper insight into their day to day operations and what strategies they employ to ensure success. The assessments are diverse, the first being a group project which is presented in front of your seminar class, the second is a individual report of 1'500 words on a business that you know well/have worked for, and the final assessment is an end of year exam. The teaching, especially from the seminar leaders is exceptional, all lecturers and seminar leaders are clearly passionate about the subject and are more than happy to help you with anything you need regarding the assessments or lectures.

This is perhaps one of the most important modules you will do in your entire degree so it is important to get it right.I have been given a lot of support in the module. as even though it is individual assessment the lectures and my supervisor have always been there to help and point me in the right direction.

The course has been a mixture of useful and repetitive. In my first year, the course was a repeat of A-level business. However, this year, some of the modules have broadened my learning and knowledge through a wide range of learning techniques and assessments. The best part of the course so far has been the projects that have been assessed differently and allowed me to take on more of a leadership role. The worst have been modules where the teaching has been substandard and caused a variety of problems for students in their learning.

The course content of my degree have been really interesting and useful when exploring literature. With subjects such as Psychology, American writing and history being just some of the subjects being studied, there is something for everyone. the assessments really give students an opportunity to research and self teach which will be a skill that will be really useful when applying for jobs. the careers department within the university is also an incredibly helpful tool to have. with drop in sessions and appointments always available it is a crucial drop off point for undergraduates. the campus itself brings a really exciting yet calming place to study, with endless book in the library and the ability to order books in means that we are never left without a way of researching. the teachers are always on hand to help with drop in sessions and one to one tutorials. this is especially helpful when a deadline is looming.

The fashion design degree at Bath spa is a really good course for teaching you how things work in the fashion industry. They push you really hard and you work as if you're working in the industry as opposed to being a student, this has it's pros and cons. The work load is very heavy and you have to keep on top of it otherwise you'll just fall too far behind. It teaches how to manage your time and work well though. You do become stuck in a bit of a fashion bubble on this course, I think this is something the university could really improve. It is hard to integrate with people on other courses as our schedule is so busy and the work load is so much. But you do have each other!

The degree is great as there are many options to choose modules which do not have exams, which is great for those who are more coursework driven and dislike revision and feel they do not perform well in exams. It also provides you with the great opportunity to complete a sandwich degree, where you can get up to a years worth of real-life working experience before you finish your degree.

It's an amazing course and is very useful to my career path. The teachers are very dedicated but they do sometimes go off course with their lectures. The uni is only a bus ride away from my halls and it's extremely useful as the shops are a couple of minutes walk away.
