I believe that although the university does try and be helpful to all students and does allow and cater for doing years abroad, the way a lot of the lecturers teach feels very scripted but not only that, it also feels very difficult to approach a lot of them as they seem to run away and disappear at the end of classes. I also feel that reading in the early years feels non compulsory and not really encouraged as the reading books you are told to buy you barely use. Although I do enjoy going to Napier as there are a wide range of modules you can choose from and grow as a person with lots of different people from lots of different backgrounds.

This module was well structured and taught. It gave a good insight and knowledge of the actual state of science in molecular biology. The lectures were interesting and the assessment well prepared

Again, this module covers a large degree of information, allowing specific focus on topics that cause interest to you, meaning that essays and assessments can be based upon your own interests.

There is plenty of information for you to get a good mark in this module however I didn't think there was enough guidance in how to answer what they were looking for. The exam is a 30 minute talk with you and another student talking about a fictional patient and there needs in a primary health care setting using health care tools and assessments. It's easy to talk for hours about the physical implications of lifestyle factors such as smoking and obesity but you also have to talk about how you can get them to see change and make a change.

This has been my most challenging and enjoyable module so far. The exercises and projects set give us a great deal of freedom to document and photograph a person or organisation of our choice, while also encouraging us to step out of our comfort zone and try something new. The module is intense with a heavy workload, but is the kind of photography I enjoy most.

The lecturer goes at a very comfortable pace and explains everything clearly. Handouts are given at every lecture so it's not a good idea to skip a lecture, or you will be missing out on vital notes. The tutorial is at the end of every lecture so when doing the tutorial questions the stuff you've learned is still fresh in your head. The module result is split between two tests so if you're stronger with one thing compared to the other you can still get a good mark. There is also maths plus which is a drop in session if you need any extra help with questions

This degree is quite good, however not so many hours of practical lab experience were done and I'm quite worried about finding a job or MSc after that.

Provides us with the opportunity and freedom to explore our creative minds and enhance our practical skills. The course is engaging, fast paced and with a heavy workload, but it is also very rewarding. I am in my third year and enjoying it very much.
