The course is quite free and there's a lot of studio time when you're on your own creating but we also have weekly lectures about painting or electives where you can choose modules that interest you. There is a good variety of skills to learn from making stretchers for canvases to screenprinting in the print studios. Assessment is not exam-based, instead the teachers review our work each term looking at sketchbooks and development and final outcomes. I enjoy the course because of the mix of practical work and theory.
