Loughborough has the best sporting facilities imaginable, even if you’re not into competing professionally or at a high level. There are lots of incentives to keeps everyone active, from halls competitions in IMS to relaxed girl’s projects such as This Girl Can. Supporting other players brings the main community feel to campus, so everyone enjoys even just watching.

Campus- Amazing campus with homely feel , everything is confined in one place no travelling round a city to point A to B. They call it the Loughborough bubble for a reason everyone is so friendly including lectures. Facility’s- Best student union is the uk , four clubs in one including cocktail bar . Two Co-ops on site so no need to head into town for food. Papa Si’s is the local takeaway on site after a night out , along with the pub and Chinese , Starbucks , Bubble tea and Burrito bar .

Really good university, such a great student experience from in the department to competing as part of an AU club!

Loughborough University is the largest single site campus university in Europe, this makes it feel like a ready built community. When joining Loughborough University your accommodation hall dictates a large amount of your extra curricular activities, for example Royce Halls fresher theme for 2018/2019 was Retro Royce meaning we had themes for nights out such as “back to school”. As well as a brilliant atmosphere Loughborough also provides all its students with unparalleled facilities! As well as a wide range of free and inclusive activities such as sport and art classes. Sport is a huge part of the Loughborough lifestyle, I joined the rowing team, as part of a team you make new friends, attend socials which are both alcohol based e.g. a pub crawl and also sober socials like a meal out. You also enjoy Winter Ball and the end of year AU ball! All the staff are highly knowledgeable and friendly meshing your course is as enjoyable and engaging as possible. Overall I can not recommend Loughborough University highly enough, everything you could ever hope for is provided all you have to do is get stuck in!

Awesome university facility and education wise. However, the mental health services and understanding could be improved.

Loughborough Uni is an excellent uni, not just for its 5th in the UK status and academic aspect, but in terms of the services is provides to it students and the general atmosphere. Being a campus uni, everything you need is easily accesible, even if you live in the town centre. It's su;ported myself and others with advice of private renting after the first year, and even when you don't live in halls, you never feel alone - the uni makes sure its students are safe and actively reply/check/engage in facebook groups for town based students. The courses are varied and, although the entry requirements have increased slightly, the content can feel challenging but still manageable. Campus facilities are great, with the introduction of a new uni phone application, simply benefits like being able to find free computers across the camus is easier than ever, as wll as confirming lecture attendance. It's a great step up from befrehand and it makes a noticeable difference, but is not without its flaws - like any phone application. The union and its ervices has become more widely known - it's not just somewhere to go for a night out - but actively aims to supprt students across a wide range of issues and lies independant from the uni itself so you never feel like there's a conflict of interest. Having joined in 2014, I'm now in my final semester and my expereince has been fab. I've changed course, suffered with mental illness, created a placement for myself during my year in industry and have had help every step of the way and feel like my Loughborough experience has really helped shape who I am today. I can't speak for what would have happened if I attended a different university, but I'm honestly glad I chose Loughborough and would recommend it to anyone looking to apply.

My course, graphic communication and illustration, is really industry focused. We are always taught to design our projects like they are real briefs which pushes us. Only small thing more contact hours in third year would be ideal.

Great University! They are serious about your academics and are extremely supportive! The campus is beautiful with many sports facilities available. We have a free bus that takes us around campus. The hall of residence are all nice and clean! They are building more too!

Students union is a hive of activity. Boasting 3 clubs for nights out and a gorgeous piazza this is the best union around. With a cafe and munch bar allows students to grab a bite to eat whilst working there betweeen lectures.

One of the best universities. Very clean and the staff care about you and your well being. The students Union helps you whenever you need anything and provides plenty of support.

This university went above and beyond all my expectations. The halls were amazing, the social life was fantastic and the people I met there will be my friends for life. My course was really broad, with a good mix of being able to select my own modules and set modules. Only issue was accommodation is expensive compared to a lot of what my other friends paid, and being a campus university there is little other choice.

Great students life and education. The university has lecture capture, which really helps with reviewing. The sports facilities are top-notch and I have nothing to complain about other than the fact that the east side of campus is far less renovated than the west side.

The campus is feel kept, clean and safe. The sporting facilities are world class and mean there is an ethic on campus to be fit and healthy. My course has world leading lecturers and researchers that are passionate and engaged with the students. The union is busy and a great place for a night our. The careers centre is very helpful and has lots of people so that there is always someone to support you who has experience in your field. There are also carrels fairs throughout the year for different subjects so that you can speak to as many prospective employers as possible to give you the best chance of success. My experience has been very positive.

Incredible sports facilities. Such a welcoming community! Incredible students union for night out. Absolutely love it, so many additional services available run through the union.

Campus is very big and has loads of great facilities. I really enjoy the free weekly sports sessions they run. The course is good but has too many 9am's for me personally. The careers services here are very good due to the many careers fairs and the career events they run.

The campus is lovely, with the oppertunities at this uni so plentiful I've done so much more than I thought I ever would. The halls are lovely with a real community feeling about them, and I've had some of the best weeks of my lives already doing this. I'm so glad I chose to do my degree here.

Loughborough University is has campus with a campus Bus which makes everything easy accessible and you can get from one end of campus to the other in 5 minutes instead of 30. Sadly this bus is not an electric bus which means that Loughborough University is producing quite a bit of CO2. Loughborough still has quite a bit to do on the sustainability front but they have a huge sector for charities. They have an entire office dedicated to charity work and they raise over £1,000,000 annually. The student union has been labeled one of the best in the UK and not without reason. During the day it is the perfect place to hold a meeting, get some lunch or just to meet up with friends. At night it turns into a club with at least 3 different dance floors. Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday it is packed and you'll always be able to find a dj which you like.

I am an Engineering student at Loughborough and from my perspective the facilities for all the engineering departments are outstanding, the lecturers are very approachable and knowledgeable and I have never had an issue with any of the ones I have had within my 2 years of university. The nightlife at Loughborough is extremely diverse, there is an opportunity to go out every night of the week whether it is the union, which has 3 clubs, or in town. The union usually has a big appearance every few weeks, whether it be a DJ like Mistajam, RnB artists like B Young, or old school artists like Sean Kingston. As most people know the sport at Loughborough is extremely high class and competitive, any sport you want to play Loughborough has a team for it, even though some clubs are at an extrememly high standard and making the team is very difficult, IMS which is Loughborough's internal league, which Student Halls place against eachother, is a lower standard and anyone can go and play and enjoy the sport. Usually there are even BUCS scouts at the IMS games so if you are performing to club standard they will ask you to tryout for the BUCS team.

Very nice atmosphere of a community with it being a campus university. Everything close and feels safe.

University itself is great but my course (Graphic Communication & Illustration) is not so much, course is very poorly organised and certain tutors focus more on their ego than teaching.

Campus is luxurious and clean with lots of space. The student union is amazing and overall I love it!
