I really enjoy the course, especially the practicals as they give us the techniques we need to make a clinically acceptable dental appliance.

The support provided are helpful such as preparations for the upcoming year. Teaching staffs are very approachable and are determined for the students to pass the course.

Overall the Course is generally quite good, one of the lecturers however is rather dull making his part of the course a bit of a chore to follow. Also some of the course content moves at a very slow pace, meaning if you are quite quick it may get boring fast. However the facilities are fantastic and the staff in general are good.

The degree is very interesting and taught on the whole very well. One lecturer in particular however isn't that interesting. Also if you generally go at a faster pace than most people you will find it very slow. Aside from that it's a great uni with fantastic facilities.

MMU Chemistry covers a wide range of course content. From standard Inorganic/Organic Chemistry to Analytical Chemistry, as well as the new modern way of using Chemistry online with the latest Modelling software's. The course is structured into various units, most of which have a 60:40 split between exams and coursework. The coursework is done throughout the year and final exams are in May. Formative tests are also given by lecturers, once modules are completely covered, to give you an indication of how well you are doing so far. The teaching staff are always there to help, during lectures they always tell us to voice out any questions we have and then in tutorials this becomes more easier as it's with a smaller group of students in the room. As well as, nearly all lecturers have an Open Door Policy, so if you need help out of your timetabled schedule, it's easy to send them an email and book a time to see them or go to their office during free hours. Some go even further, by running specific drop in sessions at lunch times E.g. Statistics, where you can come in, ask for help on any questions and leave whenever you're done. There is a good variety of individual and group work involved, so you get to experience the course in different ways.

So far I'm really enjoying my degree at MMU. The staff are great and provide support around the clock for any issues you have, be it problems with assignments or workload or whether you're have issues settling into university or finance troubles theres loads of people available to help. For my first year I have 4 Units spread over 12 hours per week. Each unit has a lecture and seminar, the structure of teaching is great, I enjoy listening to my lecturers and discussing and debating key issues in seminars. Tutors really push you to reach your full potential.

The course provides an excellent mix of practical and theoretical knowledge and learning. The lecturers are very good, and prove that they know their stuff. The lecturers and tutors can't do enough to help their students, as long as you give everything your best shot and they will do everything they can to help you along and give you the best chance of reaching your potential. I would whole-heartedly recommend the course to anyone interested in coaching, development, or the background and history of sports.

The course is very small which means the lecturers know everyone and it is very easy to ask for help. There are placements in each year with a combination of one day a week placements and every day blocks for a few weeks. The one day a week placements are quite unique to MMU and something I really enjoy because you are learning at university at the same time and are able to get resources and have a week to plan. The resources are excellent and you have almost everything you need for placements with both adults and children and can take these out for several days at a time.Assessment is both with placements and exams as well as course work. It is challenging and being able to manage time is essential as often more than one piece of work is due in at the same time.I really enjoy the adult neurology teaching, the lecturers are fantastic. There is something for everyone from autism to oncology but that also means there are parts you don't enjoy just like any course. The course is 3.5 years which does make it tricky if you are living in student accommodation in the city, it is hard to find short term lets.

The tutors were also very supportive with any problems i had and were understanding about my struggles. It was also a very enjoyable course, they ensured it was interactive as well as informative. Overall it was a very good experience, i may not have passed but would love to re-do my first year with this university.
