Currently a first year student. The uni has provided plenty of support and information on how to get the most out of the university experience giving us tips on both academic development as well as helping with finances

My course is Sociology and Criminology. I have found the seminar / lecture groups to be relatively small which means intimate learning! There is a good 24/7 library service.

Made me feel very welcome in my first week. A lot of people around to help you find where you are going. There is a lot of events on to involve you and for you to be able to make new friends. Also, the University is newly build and in a very good location. As it is on Southfield road there is places to go for lunch, after university etc. The facilities are all new and look very modern and not old which makes the uni attractive. Also the library is open 24/7 which is really good as I work late so it is nice to be able to go to the library in the early AM hours to do my university work. At this time it is also very peaceful and quiet. Nevertheless there is a lot of people around to help if you need it.

There is a beautiful campus bit unless you're on a games or academic course then you don't matter. I recently studied dance and we were literally hidden on open days

Started here in September after being in full time work since leaving college. Started as a mature student and with being out of education for such a length of time they did an amazing job of helping me integrate me back into student life

The campus is great and really easy to find your way around which makes your start there a lot more comfortable. The fact you get iPads when you enrol is really helpful to you especially if you don't already have a laptop it's really handy for your learning. My teachers have all been really enthusiastic and helpful and the literary fellow has been really helpful for improving on my work. All around happy with my choice to study here

Some aspects were great such as summer and grad scheme placement opportunities. Other aspects in terms of support was limited. Aspects of computing courses was outdated, some tutors was very knowledgeable, a couple on computing course struggled to even use Blackboard never mind teach. Not much room in freelance labs at peak times.

Facilities are good but there's never enough computers or workspace because there are so many students. Lectures struggle to speak clear English half the time and have strong accents. Organisation can be iffy because sometimes a room with 50 seats is booked for 70 students and sometimes the lecturers fill a slideshow with loads of unnecessary content (in terms of what is on the end of semester exam) and then just read off of the slides and you lose interest quickly.

Excellent campus.food and staff are all lovely. Easy to get around the campus between lectures. Easy access to the town centre. Student halls are very close.

Facilities used to be open 24/7, however they now close at night. Otherwise it is a fantastic university that happens to be in a poor location. The flipside of this is that it is located directly in town, which is infinitely more convenient than if you were to have to get a bus into town.

One of the best universities I have been to, the lectures are incredible and I've received the best grades due to their organisation and knowledge of their research areas. I love the library.

I believe that reside university is a superb university. It has many facilities to keep you busy as well as a 24hour library which is the heart of the university I believe. Even though the area is not the best, the university premises are usually kept clean. I also love the people you get to meet and how surprising it was when I met people from different countries and parts of the country. The uni holds a high standard of 'caring' for their students as they want us to succeed and provide as much help as possible. The uni also has a gym which is superb as I find that exercising is the best way to relieve stress and keep on top of myself.

I currently study a Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) degree at Teesside University and my overall experience has been great. The facilities and teaching staff are excellent, always well organized. The accommodation, both that offered by the University itself and other companies are good and well maintained. Plenty of support if needed. The library has recently been updated and has lots of different areas in which to do either group work or individual study. The nightlife is also good in the areas around the University.

Great campus, great staff, very clean, the library is very big and is constantly being transformed each year into something even better with the floors being changed. Old buildings are being updated with new technology or new buildings all together. Got a great sports facility and gym. All all round great great university that has lots of student accomdstion right next to the uni, some in the town and some just on the outskirts

Teesside University has some great facilities as almost all of it has been refurbished recently. The teaching staff are great and very involved with their students, unlike other universities I know of. The campus is in the centre of town and very easy to navigate as it is all on one square and in general the living costs in Middlesbrough are significantly lower than any city I’ve lived in. The negatives would be that Middlesbrough as a place is generally unsafe and the university itself lacks organisation in almost every department
