At Bath we are known for excellence in teaching and research, our welcoming community, and for providing students outstanding preparation for the workplace.
We’re a top ten UK university in three university guides (the Guardian University Guide 2022, the Complete University Guide 2022, and The Times and The Sunday Time Good University Guide 2022).
We are ranked 6th for graduate employment in the Complete University Guide 2022 and 90% of our UK-based graduates are in high-skilled employment 15 months after leaving.
Recently the university has been surrounded by management scandals. The students Union has heavily managed to get affairs back in order with democratic votes. Student life sometimes suffers from lack of funding and proper planning especially in the Edge facility which should be fully supported. Teaching staff and administration are always very willing to help and provide an excellent amount of resources.
Great psychology department and academic opportunities. Placement schemes well provided for and we'll organised. However, dealing with student welfare and mental health is not well managed and frequently students are turned away from the university run service to NHS providers due to lack of availability. Additionally to this allegations of sexual violence are treated seriously but little discussion is had across societies and sports clubs to ensure that this ethos of zero tolerance is policed within the sports clubs and societies themselves.
