Games design is a really good course to take up, if you are interested in games and things that revolve around that subject area. You will be taught how to make games, but that does not mean you will be sat there playing games or testing them, you will be given opportunities to do so but the majority of the course is about the designing aspects that goes on behind the scene. The course will look in-depth, the interworking’s of how games are made and the background processes. The course gives you the freedom to do a lot of things that you might have wanted to do, or ideas you have had and wanted to explore, this course gives you the tools necessary to achieve those. You will learn how to script for games, you will learn how to use multiple games designing software’s and 3D modelling software’s, such as Unreal Engine Maya. Having these skills in the industry will take you far but it all depends on how you utilise your skills.

This is one of the final modules you do before going on placement and whilst its one of the most challenging its also one of the most interesting. It essential brings together everything you learn in the 3 years of your course and assess your ability to clinically reason through a 30 minute exam where you conduct a subjective and objective assessment of an injury and then a 15 minute Viva

It is a very well run course with material which is current and relevant. The lecturers and lectures are excellent too. The class numbers are small meaning you get lots of one on one attention and booking extra time with the lecturers is not a problem. I ll d recommend this course at this university to anyone wanting to do a Master's in this area of construction.

The course itself and the contents are extremely useful for the real world of health care, and the modules are interesting. However I have found over the 2 years that changing the tutors for every module just isn't consistent learning and makes things harder due to having to get used to the way someone teaches all over again. I believe the facilities of this course are minimal for the price for example you have to share computers and library with thousands of college students, this is not ideal.

Really good university considering that it is not classed as one of the 'prestigious' universities. Facilities are good, staff are friendly and the help available is extremely good.

The teaching, whilst simple, is effective and I'm sure this is reflected in students grades.

Extracurricular activities often encourage students to engage with a wide range of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

The only issue is that the campus is relatively small in comparison to other universities (e.g., Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds etc.), but this may suit those who prefer to be a bit more 'cosy' whilst studying for their degree. Personally I prefer a larger campus as this allows me to 'explore' but each to their own.

Overall, this is a highly underrated university and deserves to be higher up the university rankings when it comes to academic performance. Top marks all round.

This in my opinion is the best course the university of Bolton offers and i also feel that it is head and shoulders above all other sports rehab courses in the UK. The university is in my understanding the only course that provides students with a level 2 qualification in Immediate care in sport it also sources top quality placements with sports teams and private clinics. The teaching is also top quality and the tutors always have plenty of time for you.Bare in mind this is a difficult challenging course with a lot more contact time than many other courses so think long and hard before committing to a course this intense.

Im i am in my final year of study now and have enjoyed my thoroughly enjoyed my time here. All the staff have been really good and helpful when you need support, all the lecturers are enthusiastic about the area and are active researchers in the field so you get taught the most up to date research. There are areas in which the course could be improved such as it has felt at times like first and second year havnt prepared me for third year in terms of the coursework which is expected for example many of the modules ask for a grant proposal which up until third year i hadnt written before. But overall the course has been enjoyable and well run.

The lecturers are incredbly friendly and have moulded the way you approach the course from over the years. If you wish to aquire a postion in the industry, the visual effects course in Bolton is where you should begin your journey.
