The module has been very enjoyable. It has offered a range of teaching and I would recommend it to other people. The best bit about the module is the simulation, that changes how we learn. The module has been well thought out and has a lot of information within it. The lecturers are all friendly and helpful

I was very worried about this module due to it being independent research and completely dependent on the student. However the resources and lectures provided for this module helped me with choosing my topic and therefore a question and research that was feasible. Each lecture contained information about different aspects of the individual Research project. They were very informative and detailed. The lectures were taught very well by the lecturer as she made sure that she had our interest all the time by including us in discussions and asking questions. I have just recently finished the first part which is the proposal. It helped me gain insight into the research even more. I was given some helpful feedbacks which encouraged me to try harder for the actual research. Each student is assignment a personal tutor who is there to help them with any questions and ideas that they have. So far I have had one meeting with my personal tutor which helped me with my motivation and helped me get started on the proposal. I am hoping to have some more meetings in order to check my progress so far.

As mundane as it originally sounded, the module turned out to be enjoyable and I actually looked forward to the lectures and the assessments. This is heavily due to the lecturer and the straightforward structure provided.

The content of this module is very interesting if you are looking to go into some form of learning environment, whether you teach adults or children. The content is relevant to all areas of learning and I have found that I am able to understand my learning style better which has allowed me to change my approach to doing assignments for other modules. I also found the content covered quite relatable to other aspects of my life. The teaching staff are very dedicated and passionate about this module and it shows in their teaching and how much we students learn. The resources that we students have access to are very reliable and informative. Pre and post lecture activities are always relevant the content we have covered or will be covering in the next lecture. The assessments are quite useful in understanding our own learning styles whilst also covering the relevant psychological theories and applying them to situations we have experience ourselves.

This has been my favourite module so far essentially due to its free reign aspect. You get to choose a project that personally interests you, an emphasis on areas that don't get taught in the degree, and you can go off independently and explore them. Although the aim of the module is to produce a end product, this module is unique in that it is not a problem if things don't go right or you don't achieve a good end product - as long as you've learnt and adapted during your progress. I really like the independence of this because you have to be your own drive to get things done and you're in control of what you learn, how you go about your project, and the level of success you achieve. It is also interesting to see the different areas everyone else chooses and what they're quietly good at or what they've managed to accomplish. It really opens your eyes to the level of talent around you and all the difference aspects of film production you don't necessarily think about.

The content of this module is really interesting! You delve into the history, the current days and the possible future of issues that can impact on childhood. For example media and the influence it had past, present and how can it possibly develop in the future. The teaching of this module has been great, the lecturer really knows what they are saying and provides great insight and resources to back it up, which can be used in assignments as references. I have really enjoyed the module so far and the different forms of assessment which have allowed life experience (report and letter).

This module was one of my favourite, I learnt so much surrounding the topic of new evolving digital factors in education. I learnt new techniques to use in the classroom which I can transfer into my own practice and new skills to increased effectiveness in the classroom. I would have liked to have had a little more explanation into the assignments which were a personal essay and a group presentation however my work received a high grade. Overall a good course

This particular module is really interesting as there are lots of different aspects to it, it has provided me with lots of knowledge on things such as theorists, sociological issues that affect children and peoples views on them. This module gives you a lot of information and also ties in with other modules and placement

The degree I am taking allows for me to branch out, learn new skills individually and within a team as well as how to become a part of the real world! We are constantly heading towards deadlines, which I find enthralling and rewarding. As a joint student, I get to embrace two subjects studying in many different subject areas broadening my knowledge and variety of writing styles. The structure of each module (and the course as a whole) allows us to work in all different areas of life; sometimes we are required to work alone, work in teams, perform presentations etc. Studying at the Uni of Glos also allows the staff to really get to know you as a person, knowing your personal flaws in the topic but also knowing your strengths, they are able to personally help you improve whilst also praising what you are good at. All the staff are extremely enthusiastic and willing to help/make arrangements to meet you in their spare time to chat about work.

Our degree has been very useful, our lectures have covered a broad range of subjects and has developed my understanding of the business world. There isn't enough study time is my only disappointment in class. A lot of our studying is meant to be done in our own time and I think there should be more class time.
