The module itself was very interesting and technical, allowing students to gain a great insight on AI.

I knew nothing about AI before I started, there were tremendous amount of support and guidance from the lecturer to help me understand the contnet of the module.

We have had an assignment on robots, it was fun and very enjoyable; the study atmosphere was friendly so students can relwx and talk to each other for help/ knowledge exchnage; we also learn different t programming language during the module which was really good to write on the CV.

The teaching of AI was different to other traditional subjects, instead of giving you powerpoint slides to read, we were given a chance to learn by physically creating something I.e. artefact development through workshop time.

A very well structured course with lots of useful theory for the real world. Would be nice to split the grading down into more assignments as a lot rides on one exam.

This module was taught over two semesters whereby the first term was highly focused on entrepreneurial theory and how this can be applied to businesses to help understand their operations. The second term provided the opportunity for students to develop their own business idea from scratch and create a full business plan which I found really engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. Support from staff was consistently good throughout and the module overall has helped me to learn how to market what will hopefully be my own business in the future.

This is an optional model the "School of Life Sciences" of the University of Lincoln offers. In my year we could choose between Portugal and Ecuador, but I know that for next year students, they have expanded it to Ecuador, Portugal, South Africa, Chile and Scotland. The university covers all costs once your at the chosen location (transport, accomodation, food etc.) you only have to pay the transport there and back.I went to Ecuador and it was absolutely amazing. For two weeks we lived in lodge on top of a mountain in the rain forest. The first few days you spend learning about the local flora and fauna, then you have to design your own research project and carry it out. I found this experience specially important because it shows you how hard carrying out research actually is! It is easy to have an idea and design a project around it, but once you're actually outside in the field, there are so many things you have to consider and that could affect your data. I for example did a study on Hummingbirds. Something that really affected my data collection was the fact that these birds go into hiding when it's raining. And when you're in a RAINforest, this is something that can seriously mess up your whole study. You also get to know everybody (yes, this includes your lecturers) so much better and you grow really close (on the last day one of the lecturers taught us how to dance salsa....I don't think everybody can say that about their lecturers)

Overall however, these two weeks were a great experience and I would do it all over again if I could!

The lecturer for this module was particularly my favourite. The teaching style was very appropriate especially because for the first semester us students had no clue about what to expect from university. Every lecture involved different forms of activities, not just listening to the lecturer speak. The assessment was in the form of an essay, we were given guidance throughout the semester for this by the lecturer. The feedback given for this assessment was particularly clear and constructive indicating areas of strength and weakness and areas for improvement as well as how to achieve the next grade. It was very useful because the feedback can be applied to all our future essays.

The main lecturer/tutor of this module lacked the ability to deliver the information he knew well. Many of the slides presented were read directly to us, with no extra content or information given.

I don't feel like this module benefitted me in an educational way.

On this module you and a collective of students form a theatre company that we run and create ourselves. It was a difficult yet rewarding module where were learned a lot about running our company resulting in performing one last time as a group.

overall this module wasn't much of a problem but the content was delivered too fast as there was a lot of content. The main problem was the assessment which was only 40% of the module but it was such a big and vague assessment! literally a person could never understand when they should stop writing because nothing was enough. I think there was less time spent on teaching and more time spent on doing and understanding the assessment.

This module is the most challenging of all modules I have studied throughout my University tenure. The course content relies heavily on prior year's studies and without prior preparation the first few weeks of studying are particularly challenging. The tutors within this module are extremely supportive and are always willing to offer additional help outside of designated lecture and seminar times.
