From year 1 I have had the same teacher for this module. She is one of my favourite teachers and is one of the best in the business school. She constantly offers help to students who don't understand and offers extensions to students who may be struggling with assignments, overall I would give her a 10/10 because she has taught me a lot of useful things that I will need in future for my career as an accountant

This module is taught by the course leader and is well structured, clear and also enjoyable. This module has mixed practical skills, group work, presenting skills with academic writing skills and much more. The module is split equally between a group presentation and an individual essay. I feel like just enough freedom is given for independent learning whilst having resources and help available.

It's a module that is full of content, however, the assignment for the first term was completely unrelated to the lectures and was a waste of time really. However, the lecturer is thorough with his teaching and makes sure the whole class understands what's being said.

Ecology is a module offered in first year, and it covers a wide range of information while giving a brief yet detailed overview of the topic. You cover information concerning animals and species types as well as tree species, which involves a field trip with a report to analyse your findings. The other two assessments are two short tests midway and at the end of the year covering what has been studied in class, with a mix of short answer and long answer questions.

The degree provided by this university includes interactive learning and useful approaches to tea l life situations. We have had the opportunity to work with industry clients in order to create an event and that experience is invaluable. Additionally, the content we learn in class is relevant and interesting.

I have very much enjoyed the content of this course so far. I feel the course leader is incredibly helpful, approachable and organised. There are 6 modules for this course and I can say that I enjoy most of them. However for a couple of these modules the teaching is lacking slightly as well as the overall structure of some of the modules. Despite this I feel like I am learning something new every week and gaining skills I did not have before.

Coding languages taught on this course are helpful when we go into industry. They are taught as if we are already in industry so we know what will be expected, this is due to the fact most of the lecturers have had experience in industry and so know what we need to be taught. The course also gives opportunity to work with a live client, which I believe is very helpful, as it's another real world example which we may face in the future.

I find the different modules interesting and I like how diverse the modules are. As the course modules vary from business and company law to economics to financial accounting. However I feel as though I am not really benefiting from one module in particular - The Accountant in Business, whilst I found the first assignment interesting as it was based on the Enron Scandal, I don't feel as though it is going to prepare me for the job of an accountant as much as the others. In terms of assessments I like how in general the modules assess us from assignments, group presentations and then an exam, although the passing criteria is harsh. As in the other courses if you fail one piece of work you can still pass the module, however if we fail just one assignment we fail the whole module, and if we were to retake we would be capped at a D-. I feel as though this is too harsh, especially in situations such as economics where I have never studied the subject before in GCSE or A-Level.
