It is overall a good uni. Somethings could be doing with being renovated. Also there could be a lot more seating space for people to do uni work as there are some days you could be in uni and there will be no seating whatsoever wether that be in the library, atrium or other spaces. Another issue is the parking there is never enough spaces after a certain time which could result in students being late for class. More parking needs to be provided not being took away as it has in previously

Beautiful campus with plenty of facilities to accommodate for all needs. Easy bus links from university to town.

Stirling campus is sublime, to say the least. It is a university set on truly terrific grounds that are second to none, and as picturesque as you could hope for. The facilities are excellent, despite having to compensate for a brand new sports facility being under works. However, improvements do need to be made to the accommodation buildings, and I would recommend that students look for accommodation in the city as it is roughly the same rate and far nicer.

There is a nice atmosphere throughout the whole uni constantly. Everyone is really friendly and I'm sure if you needed anything during your time here, no matter who you asked they would always try their best to help you. I am currently studying French and Spanish and already feel how much the uni had taught me while being on the course. The campus has extrodinary scenery which is always nice to see when walking between classes or going for a stroll.

As an Erasmus exchange student, i can definitely recommend this university. The campus is incredibly beautiful, with its own lake and castle. The university itself is well organized and you can always ask someone for help if needed. They have a large student union, compared to my home university, with a lot of different societies. I would especially recommend to become a member of the international society if you are an international student. This is a great way to meet need people and to explore the beautiful country. They're organizing weekly activities which you can join for a small amount of money. My overall Erasmus experience has been great at this university and i would highly recommend it to anyone else.

The campus is beautiful and staff are very friendly but it is hard to find help with enquiries as you can be passed about the staff referring you to different people who refer you to someone else.

Gorgeous campus surroundings, greenery, loch and hillwalks. The gym and the swimming pool are great facilities on campus.

The campus is very pretty and spaced out, study zone is too small and computers are always broken. Careers services are not very good, have yet to hear anything from them and know little to nothing about them. Campus is kept clean and tidy. Sports clubs are difficult and if u wish to join it's very expensive and difficult if you are a novices. Sports clubs remain illusive and quite unwelcoming. Courses are interesting and listen again is useful. Gym is not very good at the moment due to construction. On campus accommodation is very good. Student union is very informative but module reps are not always forthcoming and struggle to find information on meetings and the course.

Pretty good views, nice people, great for including people, everything is on campus which makes life really easy Shop on campus is very expensive although this can be avoided by delivering food to your halls of residence

The campus is set in a beautiful area, not too busy and with plenty of social options. The university itself has a huge amount of facilities for students including sports, clubs and societies.

A great uni, beautiful campus. Accommodation on campus is good, bus links to town and train station are also very useful. Library is too small for peak times however, quite often not enough seats/study spaces

I would recommend the university of Stirling to all students. I have received a lot of support in my first year of university from my tutors and teachers. This was very helpful as I was nervous about starting university. My favourite part of the university is the campus. The campus is so beautiful and makes me feel relaxed when I step out and see all the nature.

Lovely campus! Halls are an excellent choice for first years - with each accommodation being in close proximity to each other it's a fantastic way to meet new people! I'd felt at home within a few days of moving in. The Union organise a number of events to occupy your time within the first week which are good fun! The campus itself is very picturesque, such a nice place to stroll around with the loch and castle grounds. A range of courses are on offer, with flexibility being a key factor to my choosing of this University. A range of subjects can be combined and the ability to choose an array of different topics in first and second year allows you to expand your horizons - see which best suits your interests. Tutors are willing to help at all times and are only an email away. A number of student services are also available which allow for extra help which is an added bonus. Clubbing is good fun, especially on student nights where drinks and tickets are cheaper! All in all I reccommend this University if you're looking for a tight-knit community (small uni so you will recognise a lot of people) - and lovely surroundings.

A really really beautiful place to study, a cosy campus. However the library can be too small at times and there is a lack of other study spaces. Apart from that, everything else is pretty good, there's quite often careers fairs in the atrium along with sports and clubs fairs

I studied history at Stirling & the staff couldn’t have been more helpful & considerate throughout the 4 years. I’m still in touch with my lecturers and it really felt like they were invested in & cared about my future. The courses were diverse & interesting. The gym & union were both excellent. The town is rather small but has great links to Glasgow & Edinburgh. The only issue is the university population is so high in comparison to the locals in Stirling so you run into students everywhere you go & everyone knows each other or someone who knows them.

Stirling campus is set in a stunning location, the location is beautiful and makes it a perfect place to wonder around if you have time to kill before your next class. The location is so wonderful because it is just outside the town of Stirling, which has positives and negatives. Positives is that the campus is calm and has a relaxing atmosphere due to the fact that it isn't packed with shoppers or tourists. Although this means that there is more travel as if you do not live in accommodation you'll likely have to take the uni link bus to the university from the train station. When first going to Stirling I was worried this would become tedious and annoying but the uni link buses are always quick and very reliable, never having to wait more than 10 minutes usually for the bus. They also do a students discount on fayre so it saves us a lot of money which I'm super grateful for. Stirling facilities are also great. There a huge library open 24/7 with study group rooms, computer availability, and a modern design with plenty of extra furniture if you need a place to sit and read. There is a help desk right at the front and any time I have needed assistance, my issue is resolved quickly and hassle free. In the winter they even put a basket full of blankets at the entrance so that students can feel free to take one during their stay. In addition, there are several cafés, a restaurant, a few shops for buying books/stationary and Stirling merchandise, and a santander bank. Stirling also has its own cinema right in the heart of the campus which does student discount deals and special movie nights such as a pyjamas screening of clueless. This cinema is very useful for my course of film and media. We use it for weekly screenings of the films we are studying throughout the year. Giving everyone a chance to be able to see the film for free and in a distraction free zone. Unfortunately, during the year there was seminar rooms which didn't have computers that worked with what we needed them to do, such as the dvd slot wouldn't work or the computer would take too long to load and we would lose teaching time due to that. This problem occurred a few times during the year. Nevertheless, my course has been great overall, the lecturers and staff are very welcoming and have great teaching methods. The course is theory until 3rd year which is probably the only negative about it, but not so much that it dampens the experience. It isn't as much of a problem as I thought it might have been going into the course, in fact learning the theory beforehand is proving beneficial and if you are really wanting to get more practical skills there is a society called Air TV where the club makes films and radio productions. The most negative aspect of my experience in Stirling so far was the strike action that happened early this year. Stirling was affected greatly and I lost just under a month of lectures and seminars from some classes which was definitely difficult. However the staff and uni did a good job of damage control afterwards, making sure that attendance for students wasn't docked and grade caps for attendance was also overlooked for that term. The classes made exceptions and changes to final evaluations and coursework so that it was fair to everyone and we could all get the grades we deserved with what we had been taught. So as result, the students were cared for after strike action finshed so that our experiences and learning was affected as little as possible. In conclusion, Stirling is a great place to study, the location is fantastic, there is a variety of facilities available to everyone and the staff I have worked with have been pleasant and enthusiastic in teaching.

The campus us amazing, with breathtaking views, surrounded by hills and a Loch. From basketball to kayaking and diving to even skydiving, the facilities and number of sports societies available are incredible. The University also boasts a huge golf course situated in within University grounds in Airthrey. The student union has good breakfast for cheap prices and has drinks and food at affordable rates. There is a Starbucks on campus which is really cheap and which is very convenient for students whether they are studying or just hanging out with friends. The University is really good and has a very flexible options if you want to change degrees. Overall it's really amazing. The only downside is how small Stirling as a city is, and there are only two clubs, fubar and dusk, for people to have a night out.

This university is a beautiful location, with a scenic view of a lake and mountains. Capturing the true outside beauty. With good insight facilities and many clubs and societies to be apart off. All supportive and a great help throughout the degree
