1. Liberty Point - Southampton, University of Southampton

Located in the heart of Southampton, opposite the stunning and peaceful Andrews Park, Liberty Point offers a cosy living space exclusively for University of Southampton students. Residents can enjoy a game of table tennis in the common room, or relax in their spacious living room with their flatmates.

What the students say: "This private accommodation is brilliant and exceeded all expectations. 5 min walk to town, 5/15 min to uni on the bus. Great size en-suite room and communal space. On-site facilities are great, there's a common room, cinema space, study room and a gym! Staff are super friendly and always involved in creating something for the students."


2. Ranmoor/ Endcliffe - Sheffield, University of Sheffield

Surrounded by parks and gardens, with convenience stores and the buzzing town centre just a short walk away, this halls has everything a Sheffield student could dream of. Residents that are feeling a bit peckish can head to the on-site cafe or enjoy a few refreshing beers at the bar.

What the students say: "We were lucky to be put in a smaller flat, with large living space. Rooms were also reasonable size with good storage, and the obvious benefit of en-suite showers. Location to uni is a little bit far out, but proximity to shops (and the peaks!) was brilliant."

3. Peel Park Quarter - Salford, University of Salford

This on-site campus boasts a free gym, multiple social spaces, a private dining room and even a cinema room. Every room has a ¾ bed as well as an ensuite and the buzzing Manchester city centre is easily accessible. But why leave when this residence has so much to offer?!

What the students say: "Amazing accommodation, all of the facilities that are provided are in good condition. Rooms are a nice size with lots of storage and the kitchen allows you to be very sociable with your flatmates."

4. Falkner Eggington - Loughborough, Loughborough University

Residents at Falkner Eggington enjoy 2 common rooms which are complete with table tennis and foosball. Loughborough students benefit from regular cleans as well as an ideal location in Central Park (the Loughborough version).

What the students say: "Great location, great community, everyone's friendly, great price! Would definitely recommend to anyone."

5. Rootes - Coventry, University of Warwick

Just a 2-minute walk to the students’ union and a few minutes walk to the campus shops, Rootes is ideally located for the student who isn’t a fan of walking. The majority of bedrooms are equipped with a sink as well as a wardrobe, desk, bookshelf and a single bed.

What the students say: "Rootes has great people, the rooms are nice and the kitchens are big. It is a good value for money compared to other halls and is in a good location - close to the piazza."

6. Bay Campus - Swansea, Swansea University

Bay campus residence boasts direct access to the beach, as well as its own seafront promenade. The residence also has a shared common room with television, broadband service, and sofas.

What the students say: "Great location, especially if you are studying on this campus. The beach is literally a 2 min walk away and the main part of town is a ten min bus ride. There is an on-site gym. The rooms are excellent, great double beds and en-suites, the rooms are always warm. The kitchen facilities are also great, being very spacious with 2 fridge freezers 2 hobs, a large breakfast bar and 2 couches, with the only downside being limited cupboard space."

7.  Melville Grove - Liverpool, University of Liverpool

Melville Grove is a gated Hall of Residence located in the University of Liverpool’s City Campus. The residence is comprised of single rooms which come equipped with wash basins, and shared washing facilities.

What the students say: "Most underrated accommodation in Liverpool. Very good location to the university and town. Most friends who have came to visit from Crown and Vine have said they would choose Melville if they could choose again, the shared bathroom had put them off but the cleaners come most days and it's honestly fine sharing. The kitchen facilities are good and any problems get sorted within 3 days."

8. Crown Place Halls - Liverpool, University of Liverpool

Crown Place Halls are located in the centre of Liverpool’s city campus and has a variety of room sizes available, from single to deluxe, to studio. The halls provide an outside courtyard area, as well as an indoor chill-out zone.

What the students say: "Brilliant location, very close to town able to walk home after a night out. Excellent room facilities, noise proof and 3/4 beds. Very clean and warm on arrival with great staff on reception."

9. Jack Martin Halls - Coventry, Warwick University

Jack Martin Halls are centrally located and boast an on-site laundrette, as well as ensuite bathrooms. The price of all rooms also includes contents insurance.

What the students say: "Good quality rooms which gets cleaned for you (perfect). Not much space to socialise other than the kitchen but that’s not too bad. Perfect location on campus for everything, well worth the money."

10. Woodward Buildings - London, Imperial College London

Located in North Acton, Woodward buildings are Imperial College’s newest halls. The buildings boast common rooms with tabletop games and television, as well as free access to a gym.

What the students say: "Though the halls are a little far away from campus, the facilities and the subsidised rent more than makes up for it. Students benefit from spacious kitchen and living areas, large rooms and ensuites, as well as on-site music practice rooms and a fantastic gym with free classes. The hall events are also the best at Imperial - just you wait for those summer BBQs!"
