With the spookiest day of the year around the corner, it’s definitely time to start thinking about how you’re going to transform yourself for the occasion. Makeup and face paint are some of the most effective ways to really show your spirit and get involved on Halloween. Very affordable and usually quite simple, a stand-out face of makeup immediately lets everyone know who you’re trying to impersonate.

TikTok has become a very useful space for super quick and inspiring makeup/Halloween looks. Millions of makeup artists, as well as others just feeling creative, are beginning to share their favourite horrifying makeup looks and character interpretations for this Halloween. 

Creators such as Amy (@a.j_artistry), are getting in the spooky spirit by filling their social pages with a variety of looks. Amy tends to focus her looks on the more glam side of gory makeup. This includes big lashes, red lips and defined cheekbones, perfect to join in with the Halloween fun while still looking your best!

Another creator embracing the Halloween content is Molly (@mollypashbymua), who arguably has a more maintainable makeup style. The majority of her looks are simple, with only a few elements that bring the look together, a cheap face paint kit is all you really need.

Thrown in the mix of Molly’s looks, are also some incredible, highly detailed ‘scary’ makeup looks. As well as being there to show off her own talent, the more advanced looks are still achievable with some persistence, guaranteeing you are best-dressed at any party. 

A final TikTok-based mention is Hollie (@hollierose.mua), with a similar style to @mollypashbymua’s work, Hollie provides her audience with achievable, simple and creative makeup looks. She offers tutorials on subtle eye makeup that could be worn all year round, as well as some amazingly accurate character looks.

For more in-depth tutorials turn to Youtube, creators have been putting out Halloween makeup looks and content for years which. Unlike TikTok, they are very easy to go back and find, providing you with an endless selection of looks at various difficulty levels. 

Roxy (@Roxxsaurus) has been creating Halloween makeup videos for years. She often goes for a convenient and useful video format where she includes multiple looks in the same video, more options for you with less scrolling. Roxy’s makeup tutorials are definitely a beginner/intermediate level, with room to make the looks simpler if needed or more advanced. 

Well-known makeup brands also take to youtube to share Halloween-inspired looks with their own products. NYX is considered one of the most affordable and consistent makeup brands on the market, investing in the products they are using in their own tutorials. Their products won’t cost you a fortune and help you to achieve results as similar to the reference as possible. 

Their youtube content is limited when it comes to Halloween, but the selection of tutorials they do have are super easy to follow and very impressive. For makeup brands in general, you can often find different creators using certain products that you might already own to create fun looks.
