1. THE SCENERY
There is nothing quite like the beauty in Wales, it truly is stunning.
2. THE FOOD
Good old rissole from your local chippy at the end of a killer night out is the one.
3. THE ADVENTURE
May not have the best shops but we do have alternative outdoors-y fun things.
4. THE MATCH DAY MEMORIES
The towns are rammed full of welshies wearing their bright red rugby shirts in order to support 'their boys'. Their faces are painted red and green and they sport leek and daffodil merchandise. The giant welsh flags become cardigans for the day as people wrap it around themselves.
5. THE PRIDE
The people can often be very proud to be welsh. 'Cymru am byth' which is the motto, means 'Wales Forever'. It is like a giant national family.
6. THE NIGHT LIFE
Small town or big town - it doesn't matter. The nights are great either way.
7. THE FEES
To help support the welsh students in Wales, the government offers a hearty reduction in our student tuition fees!!
8. THE COMMUNITY FEEL
You feel welcome and safe.
9. THE WALE-ISH
Asides from the actual Welsh language, we also have additional lingo which is English words/phrases that are actually welsh. Such as "I'll be there now, in a minute"... you could be waiting hours if you take this literally! Cwtch, lush, banging, bather, "is it?" - need I say more?
10. THE filming rep
Yes, that's right. We have been responsible for creating/contributing towards shows and films such as Doctor Who, Sherlock, Gavin and Stacy, Harry Potter, Torchwood and Stardust... The list goes on. If you see yourself wanting to have a career in this field, check out It's My Shout!
11. THE EXTRA HOLIDAYS
Not only will you get to celebrate the national traditional holiday days but you can also add on St. David's Day, The Eisteddfod and St Dwynwen's Day.
12. THE CELEBRITIES
It's such a small country that you can easily bump in to Rhod Gilbert down your local pub or see Katherine Jenkins in a seafront restaurant.
13. THE SPRING
See all of the little baby lambs totter about and witness the beautiful daffodil's sprout from the ground during this wonderful, fresh season.
