Full job description
We will provide a structured training programme designed to satisfy your individual aspirations and the needs of the business. This is a great opportunity to develop your sales skills and experience to achieve on-going success with Hearst Magazines in future commercial and publishing roles. You will undergo a comprehensive 12 month learning and development programme within the Classified Sales department, including:
- Induction – this one week programme will bring you fully up to speed with the consumer magazine industry, the magazines, the advertisers, and the crucial relationship between the two, as well as preparing you in essential sales techniques
- Training – over the next 12 months we will develop your customer service and presentation skills and equip you with all the tools and techniques required to make successful deals.
In addition to the Company benefits, we offer:
- An annual basic salary of £19,000 increasing to £20,000 upon successful completion of a 6 month probation period.

What we are looking for?
We welcome applicants from graduates of all disciplines (minimum 2:1 grade). Whilst your academic record is important, successful applicants will need to be highly motivated, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as plenty of determination and drive to succeed.
