The room was great, social areas like kitchen/living area could've been better. Location was good for uni but not great for town centre

Absolutely awful. I stay here and when I first moved In I had a massive issue of bedbugs in which the halls of residence took a while to deal with and offered me no compensation.

The flats aren't awful but also they're really not worth the cost of £142 pew week. The only way to get into town is by unreliable bus, it's quite a walk through a dangerous park to uni, most of the kitchen appliances don't work and nothing is ever done about them. I do actually really like my room however students in private accommodation get an almost identical one in a better location for a lesser cost. Also not feeling the flat parties. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless the cost was significantly dropped and the bus service improved.

Rooms were nice and spacious, storage space was fantastic, and having an ensuite was amazing. The common facilities were also good and suitable for 5 people. Staying at Hillhead is also great because it's very social and you have a shop, bus stop, bar/restaurant, music room and many more facilities and events that run throughout the year.

The halls are only a ten minute walk from campus. Outside of the halls is a Lidl and there is also an on site shop. The halls have ensuite bedrooms with a comfortable double bed. Great place to stay.

The halls were nice, very good for student hall standards. Having separate toilets was great! Also the porters were always there to help in any situation which made life so much easier and safe! Being part of the student village was also very good as you were able to easily socialise with people from different halls of residence easily and have a good time in first year! There was also always something which was happening that ausa planned which was good to also meet new people.

The location was perfect. It was a fifteen minute walk to the campus. I felt safe at all times. There was a great social feeling to halls. I loved being so close to all my friends. My room was good. There was enough room for all my belongings. The kitchen and social area were also good.

It was a really comfortable place to stay for a year, even if it was rather clinal and soulless it had good facilities and catered for everything I needed. There were a few issues that occurred during term, these included blocked drains on numerous occasions, non-functioning hallways (which resulted in my knocking into my flat mate with a boiling cup of tea and getting second degree burns) and an over that wasn’t fixed for a month. But overall, a great experience and I couldn’t have imagined living anywhere else.

The halls are very basic for what is paid for them. I wouldn’t say they are central atall to the university of any shops Ie: Tesco or Asda so you are relying on someone driving you otherwise you would be paying over the odds on food. However the rooms are very clean and in a good location for nightlife as the bus drops you off right on the entrance of the halls.

Social experience was brilliant! Everyone at new Carnegie seemed to be in a little community and it’s where most of the parties happen. During the sunshine, people would sit out in the courtyard and play music etc. Facilities were average, a lot of money for what you actually get in comparison to others. Bathroom makes a difference but be aware it is like an airplane. Staff were usually quick to sort out any problems and you get a new key if you break it (only once though!). Super close to uni, only a short walk through Seaton park which is handy. Plus the buses run really often and there’s always taxis. Overall, great place to stay in first year!

Big rooms, with all required facilities and ensuit. Anything goes wrong the porters are there to help. Electric kitchen and small living space good for just spending time outside of your own room. Lots of party’s.

Location is way too far away from town, facilities are alright but not worth the price I pay at all. SRA's in the Halls are woeful - racist, dumb, unhelpful and horrible.

The location is great, although the only downside of this is that only one bus goes there. It is quite expensive for what you get and the social experience isn't too great because some people just spend time in their rooms due to the ensuite.

Great halls, rooms were cleaned and well maintained. The whole block had a social feel so making friends was easy. Porter's were also on hand if anything went wrong but didn't invade your privacy either.

The location in Hillhead is the best part because all the freshers are here. The flats are overpriced but New Carnegie Court is the only accommodation with an en-suite in Hillhead which is the main factor as to why I chose it. We had a lot of problems with the oven, appliances and the university WiFi in our flat but the porters are often really helpful in resolving the issues quickly. I would recommend living in Hillhead over anywhere else, but the accommodation itself is not great.

The Halls are excellent for meeting students especially for first year, the transport links into town are excellent however the bus is heavily relied upon for getting anywhere as the Halls are in a location where there is not much else.

Expensive, but good facilities. Ensuite bathroom is nice. Overall experience is dictated by your flatmates, you've got to hope you get some good people! Nice to have a double bed in the room.

Honestly it’s a great place but not worth the money. You’ll get to know so many people in the place and it’s great having your own bathroom. The place never fix anything though. You get your own bathroom and a bigger bed but it’s still not worth the price that they’re giving. The place is a 20 minute walk from uni which isn’t too bad. The place where you wash your clothes is awful, it makes your clothes smell and the dryer doesn’t dry your clothes. The little shop is great for buying food although it’s quite expensive. Overall, great place to meet people but the price is extortionate.

Great location in Hillhead Halls with the other flats. Good facilities and social experience, however price is very high.
