Nice. They fixed my issues with my room very quickly. The people In the accommodation office are always happy to help. The location is also very close to Sainsbury's and Colindale station but it is a 20 minutes walk to Middlesex. There isn't much activities to do in Colindale though.

The halls were not very well lit and my radiator didn't work during winter. My bathroom door was also not shutting properly and despite requesting it be fixed, it wasn't. It wasn't very social at all and I was roomed with people I had nothing in common with and so didn't make any good friends out of it, which I had done at previous halls.

The best thing which I love about Platt hall is it's security and internet. It feels so safe when you're inside the premises of Platt hall. Everything here is automated and person who is not living in the halls cannot have access to the halls. The office is open 24 hours so if you have any problem you can just ask then any time. The internet access is amazing here. You can access the internet from any place from Platt hall and also it's amazingly fast. I even checked the speed of the internet once and it showed 50 mbps. If the internet is broken then the maintenance is also very quick. They will fix it even if it is in the evening. And the last thing which I also like in the halls is that everyone is so kind and are always ready to help you. The staff's, flat mate everybody. So, I think as all people are so friendly in nature and are so good that you will easily get seattle here if you are intermaintern student like I am then Platt hall will be the best option for you.

The location is perfect for the university. 15 min walk or 6 min bus journey - bus stop is right outside of accommodation. The facilities were up to date and always kept clean. Rooms where in good condition as where on suite toilets.

I think the all concept of halls is amazing; being able to share your experiences with total strangers and being somehow forced to socialise is great. However, Platt didn't offer as much as I expected. The room was very small, definitely not for claustrophobic people, and the shared kitchen was just a mess. I enjoyed the overall experience but I think a year is enough.

Platt was the best and worst experience of my life. It’s all down to who you get put in a flat with. At the start I really enjoyed it, but halfway through the year our flat became a drugs den and I literally had to tape my door up to try and block the smell seeping into my room. There is a lot of drug activity at this residence! The socials were really bad, a game of pool and a few drunk guys shouting their mouths off. Flat parties were amazing though, and there were plenty! The rooms were great, plenty of storage and the bed was comfy. Kitchens were a bit old fashioned, and you only get a table and chairs, no sofa or other social area for your flat. The walls aren’t very sound proof, you will definitely hear if your next door neighbour puts on music or brings a friend over. The area is very dodgy. On my second night I got chased back from the tube station by a white van which was terrifying. The walk from halls to uni takes about 15-20 minutes along a main road and up a very steep hill! But there are plenty of people to keep you company. Overall I would definitely choose to stay there again, I made some of my best friends in the flats around me. Just made sure you enjoy partying!

Good location, near to tube and bus stations. Rubbish 30 minute walk to campus. Was put with all international students who didn’t speak English so didn’t communicate with anyone. Room was small, nice to have an ensuite even though the shower drain was blocked every week. Main office was rubbish at solving my issues, even on day of departure...no spare hoover to avoid being charged for unclean room when flat hoover broke.

I love living in halls. Being surrounded by other students provides the perfect balence between studying and fun. We mostly have all of the facilities that we need, however one fridge and one freezer is not enough for 6 people to share.

The location of the halls is fantastic with amenities and the University only a short walk. It is right next to the Northern line and many bus routes also. Socially, the resident assistants put on movie nights in the small common room and there are games you can rent out but commonly people will go to friend’s flats before going out in central London. The room is small and expensive but is easily personalised to make it feel more homely. The kitchen is large but the fridge, freezer and oven are all inadequate for six people to share.

If you are outgoing, easy goint, young and are easing yourself out of a sheltered life (and I genuinely don't mean those things in a derogatory way), Platt halls may be worth your while. The money for halls consists of a room, all bills included, ensuite bathroom (you can get a flat with a shared bathroom for cheaper) and a weekly cleaner. Whether the things included in the price is worth it is up to you. If you feel you are independent and resourceful enough to find your own or shared place where you can competently pay monthly rent and bills, keep your place tidy and aren't much of a party goer, it's likely not the place for you. The biggest complaint I have about the place is about the locks. The idea of casually scanning your card onto a lock sounds great and innovative... Until you realise what should've really been obvious to you is that the things run on batteries. Once the lock to my flat had run out of batteries I went to reception to report this, and was given a report paper to fill in and was told that I'd have to wait until Monday for the lock to be fixed as Monday is the only day when maintenance staff turn up to plat halls. There are meant to be signs via the flashing colours on the locks to tell you that it will soon run out of battery but the signs are soo subtle that you can just easily dismis it. Because of this I can't remember exactly what the signal was. I'd recommend that if the locks starts to flash differently then I'd call maintenance to get it checked.

A very nice hall of residence very convenient and very friendly staff. Although there’s not many social events but the people in your flats are very friendly and nice to one another and the staff reply fast to complaints no matter how petty or big

I love living in Platt. Its so good for both studying and socialising. It provides the perfect balence. Though one fridge and one freezer is NOT enough for 6 people per flat to share. People in charge of Platt: If you see this pleeeaaaase change this. Thank you.

Overall the hall was good clean but rooms could be bigger and have a shower not a shower room social life isn’t the best at this uni but location is good and Colindale is a nice area to live and it is close to the station also safe.
