Bankside House is very big and has many people so you can get to know a lot of people but it may get noisy sometimes. The bar is quite noisy. The location is quite far from university, about 25 minutes walk. But overall it is good value for money compared to the other LSE halls. Bankside rooms are much bigger than other halls and the price is cheaper and the food is not bad.

The main complaint most people I've encountered have about Bankside is that it is relatively far from LSE with a necessary walk over one of the bridges over the Thames. I actually liked the commute since the views are always amazing, and only sometimes wished I lived closer to Uni when I'm running late. Bankside has a lot going from it being close to Globe Theatre, and Tate Modern and other good off-West End theatres. There's also plenty of good food options (though Asian food is harder to find). The catered food is alright and some have said is one of the better services among LSE halls. The absolute best part though is that you get almost ensuite toilets even without paying an ensuite price because you only share with 1 other room.

Social life is really good. Food can be hit or miss sometimes but it's better than most halls. Shower cubicles are tiny and rooms look somewhat dated but room size is decent.

Bankside has its own Bar, a tv room and study area. The social opportunities in this accommodation are excellent and gives a good space for students to unwind on the weekends. There are also snooker tables in the bar area. The study area is quite nice too. Although, it is a bit distracting to have it placed right beside the tv room. The thin walls don't help either, but it's nothing a pair of earphones can't fix. The facilities in my room are bearable. They work just fine, albeit a bit old looking. My only complaint would be there needs to be a bigger shower, as I often bump into the shower knob while showering. Also, there aren't full length mirrors provided in our rooms, which is really quite inconvenient. The location of the hall is about a half an hour walk to the LSE campus. 23 mins if you brisk walk. The pathway is quite nice when the weather's good, so it could be a good time to enjoy the view whilst walking back.

Great social hall, probably the most social of all the undergraduate halls. Extremely nice rooms. Made some of my nicest friends here. Rooms are very spacious compared to other halls and you only have to share a bathroom with one person. Reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly

Bankside has a wonderful location. It is 2 minutes away from Tate Modern and surrounded by many restaurants and supermarkets. It is 20-25 minutes away from LSE but the walk there is astonishing. You can take either millennium bridge or Blanckfriars bridge and walk along the river with views of the London Eye. It is by far the biggest and most social LSE hall: the common areas in the basement are amazing. It has a bar, a TV room and a study room and there is people there every single night. Bankside is the hall to stay at if you want to meet a lot of people at LSE
