The location of lakeside is perfect you are within 10 minutes walk to Birmingham City Centre and a 2 minute walk to university lectures. The facilities are basic with an updated common room including pool table sofas etc. The social aspect was great during freshers with a chat for people in any block of lakeside giving people opportunity to meet up and drink before going out. The room is a good size for just one person it becomes uncomfortable if you have people over though because of the single bed.

Big sized rooms with furnished kitchen but rats are everywhere so unhygienic at times but location is ideal

Lakeside is located on campus and is very near to the city centre. Flats are cleaned every fortnight.

Poor quality of furniture and carpet, odd dusty smell and wasn't properly cleaned before I moved in. En suite bathrooms are good size and fit for use can't fault that part

The kitchen gets cleaned regularly and the bins taken out which is helpful. The rooms are spacious and the en suite is big. The rooms have enough storage. One issue is that the only plug sockets are on the opposite side of the room to your bed.

Newly refurbished kitchen, with breakfast bar, leather sofas and all electric cooker (fan oven, grill, hobs). Landed a high floor on a good block so view was excellent, though other blocks not as much so. Bedroom was simple but decent enough. En suite shower room/toilet, basic but clean and servicable. Bed wasn't great, not the most comfortable, had to buy a mattress topper to sleep well. WiFi wasn't great, and there was no control over heating in winter, and the windows never opened more than a crack so got hot in summer.

The room is spaceous with a single bed, desk and an ensuite. The kitchen is shared with plenty of storage area to keep your kitchen utensils. However, there is one oven and two fridges for 10 people to share and I believe they can improve in that department.

Love how spacious the room is, the bathroom could do with an upgrade. The walls could be painted with a more fresher colour, the curtains are old and sad. The table is a good size, wardrobe space could be bigger. Kitchen is very nice and spacious. Good window size. Heating is a bit bad, was very cold in winter.

The rent is too high for what I think I’m getting. It’s increased considerably in the past 3 years with not much change to the interiors:

The kitchen has just been redone which is nice and the hob turns off after a period of time which is a good safety option however gets annoying when trying to cook. The rooms are nice and spacious however the bathroom is a bit tired and the shower water goes everywhere. The location however is great as on campus so no need to get up super early to travel to uni
