Good location close to city centre, but uphill 20 minute walk to university. Costly washing machines and dryers provided. Close to the Rackhay and Favell, so lots of friends in close proximity. Room was spacious and clean, good built in wardrobe.

Very good location close to everything, good flat sizes, very nice friendly staff. Kitchen small for the amount of people using it. Facilities generally have seen better times and the building has a bad humidity problem, with mould growing very easily. Room size decent although layout could be better. Social spaces pretty basic.

The location is perfect: super close to university but also in the heart of bussling Bristol. The views over the river are amazing and the kitchen/living rooms are spacious. Heating and water is consistently good. Staff are friendly but not the most professional - frequently misplaying parcels, often not manning reception for hours and are inconsistent with policies. The forthrightly clean is not fortnightly: in the first term there were 3 cleans which were all to a fair to poor standard with the bathrooms completely avoided despite a note claiming they had been cleaned.

A really lovely riverside location near St Nicholas Market with several bars and restaurants nearby. It is about 15-20 minute walk to campus. The rooms and bathrooms are clean with laundry facilities provided as a pay per use service.

Great location, nice area of city centre and not too far from uni, only issue is having to walk up park street. Generally, nice people and social although not as social as other halls. The rooms and flat are nice and good value. The staff there could be a bit more helpful and sometimes the cleaner didn't come for several weeks. Definitely needs a bar.

Waverley house is in a amazing location, right in the centre of Bristol so you’re never more than a 20 minute walk from anywhere you want to go. The flats are really modern and spacious inside with a big kitchen, great for socialising with comfy sofas and an incredible view as I was on the 8th floor. The rooms are really nice and new with really good double beds. I really loved my year at Waverley and got paired up with my flat really well so we all got close really quickly. It is also one of the cheapest accommodations in Bristol so great value for money.

Short walk from Cabot Circus shopping centre. One of the riverside residences. Rooms are of good size and kitchens are large. 3 lifts so need to trek up many flights of stairs.

Waverely location couldn’t be better, and the rooms were a good size- was amazing having a small double I defiantly couldn’t of coped with a single! The view was to die for- overlooking the river Avon, and it was still so close to uni! However, I did feel like I missed out a lot as the halls weren’t very social. Although I met some amazing people who I am still friends with now, I would warn people that it can be quite isolating as being in the city centre you don’t have the same sense of community as I imagine you would in stoke bishop or other halls. However, I guess that could be said about halls in general. Overall, waverely is a great place to be especially if you love going out as it’s perfect for pres!

The location was good - lots of pubs and bars around and a good night out was never too far away, as well as being able to walk to uni in 10 mins. However the actual flat had was missing an extractor fan meaning every single room in the flat was damp and mouldy. There was moguls growing in my wardrobe onto my clothes, as well as around my windows and a big patch of black mould covered the hallway wall. As a result of the damp and mould my asthma worsened throughout the year. The mould had to be 'killed' about 3 times throughout the year as it kept coming back. I don't think this was a problem in most other flats - it's just as mine was missing the extractor fan.

The showers are amazing and they have a really good system where they ask you to write a short personal statement before you arrive so they can put you with similar people. Met loads of really awesome people there and it’s lovely because it’s the three riverside residences together.

Great location in the centre of bristol, close to everything so much better than stoke bishop. Waverly has the best flats of the 3 riverside halls. You're guaranteed to get a place there if you put it down as an option too. Is quite noisey at nighttime with bins being emptied and ambulances going past. We seemed to have less room inspections than other halls which meant you could get away with more ( smoking in rooms etc). Deffo ask for a room on floor 6 or higher as the views from these rooms of the bristol skyline are sick. Flats ending in 01, 03, and 04 have 6-8 people in them, 02 have 5.
