Lanfranc House

Rooms were good size and en suite but not much storage. Felt safe having it enclosed and it's own courtyard which was good for socialising and lovely in summer. Close to both town and uni which was a relief for someone that didn't know the area. Not the cheapest but manageable cost and worth it!

Decent size rooms, a great location, kitchens are a little small, could use another oven, but not anything to be mad about. Plenty of room for people to socialise, and lots to do in the area. Would recommend for new students or people who haven't lived away from home before.

Canterbury's best halls accomadation. En suite and good size rooms. Has a courtyard which is great for socialising with others. Location is great, 10 minute walk to the univiersity, local sainsburys and pubs and only 10 minute walk into Canterbury city for more shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

The location is great and very close to university, everyone chats to each other and there is always something going on whether it’s going clubbing or activities due in the day.

Location good, 3 minute walk to university, good sized rooms with double beds and ensuite. Very cosy and homely and the set up of the accommodation makes it very social as it’s a forecourt. Howver, price being £149 pw is quite expensive, but I understand that Canterbury is an expensive city

Very modern, great twenty four hour security. Very close to main campus and very close to a Sainsbury’s and a pharmacy. Also a short distance from the main town centre where there are many shops and restaurants.

Lanfranc is a great place to stay for CCCU students. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to campus, as well as being only a couple of minutes from Sainsburys superstore. Also, the Jolly Sailor and The Penny are in close proximity (they are 2 of the main pubs used for sport teams Wednesday night socials). Currently only half of Lanfranc's houses/flats have been refurbished. Unfortunately I'm in a flat which hasn't yet had the refurb, and therefore it's starting to look a bit outdated. Also, I have a single bed. However, I have friends who live in a refurbished house at Lanfranc and it is so much nicer. The rooms are modern and they all have a 5ft (small double) bed. When I moved into the flat there was a coupe of problems, e.g. The plug didn't work, and these were resolved/fixed very promptly. Occasionally the wifi does go down, but this is very rare and never lasts any length of time. Overall, I am very pleased with my accommodation at Lanfranc and would highly recommend it!
