Location is really handy as it is on campus and a 5 minute walk to the shopping centre and 10 to the station. The small rooms are really small but a desk and wardrobe wardrobe and a bookshelf was provided The uni is really small and there is no uni bar just a spoons.i would say my social experience was 1/5 as no one on my floor was ever in the house. However the uni halls feel very safe the kitchen has eneugh room for Everyone to cook together and acts like a nice lounge to.

Location is good but town is useless as there isn’t really any food shops. Have to walk 25 mins to the bestest Sainsbury’s unless I want to shop in M and S and Waitrose which students can not afford on their loans.

Great location, I could leave a couple of minutes before a session began, rolling out of bed like that is brilliant. The rooms are a little small, we’ve made jokes about how it feels like you’re in a coffin due to the irregular shape of the room thanks to the building’s architecture. Having a cleaner once a week was useful for people like us having our first taste as living alone, though she was quite rude and unsociable, and (particularly in my mother’s opinion when she visited) didn’t really do a great job. The WiFi service is absolutely dreadful. I paid extra to receive faster connection, but noticed I was getting exactly the same speed of service as my flatmates, it seems. There is also a lack of social areas outside your 6 person flat. Unless you smoke that is, that’s the only way to meet people. Also about the smoking area; having that outside your room gets very noisy. An indoor facility to socialise would be much better. The worst part about this accomdation is the accommodation office, unfortunately our heating wasn’t working and it took them 6 months to fix it. 6 MONTHS. It was starting to get warmer by then and there wasn’t as much need for heating. I remember crying at one point earlier on in the first term, as we had no heating OR hot water. At one point we even had no running water for a day. We constantly sent emails to the accommodation office about the heating issue and felt that they were taking the issue very lightly, which was frustrating. This aspect of the tenancy made it not worth the money, and lack of heating was a breach of our contract. We demanded that we get compensation for all those months we paid for heating and didn’t receive it. In the end we were only given £200 each, which, when you think about it seems far less than what we were paying for heating. Bit of a joke really. But hey, at least we got something, finally.

The location was brilliant with regards to access to uni and town. The halls themselves were great, really clean and modern. However the fire safety officers were shockingly bad, we once waited 40 mins to even hear anything from someone after our alarm went off unplanned. And having the blind peoples home opposite is really difficult as you get a lot of noise complaints, obviously location wise that isn’t great.
