Student Houses (Colum Road/Place)

After getting in thought clearing I was put into student houses on llanbleduan gardens. The location was perfect just behind the SU with a 5 minute walk into the main building and about 10 minutes to town. Compared to most my friends from tallybont It was taking them around 20-25 minutes in the morning to walk to lectures. The downsides of houses are that most were very outdated and hadn't been done up since the 1970,s however the university was ment to be in the process of this.

My room is big and spacey which I didnt expect, but there are too many people in the house making it difficult for 11 people to live comfortably.

The general condition zof the student hiuses was good and they so have much larger rooms than most other halls availible for the lowest price. This doea come at a cost however, they are very isolated, forcing you to work harder to find a social group at the start of the year. Overall though they are fairly decent.

Houses provide large rooms with good kitchens af a really low price. The trade off being severe social isolation, making freshers week a bit harder.
