Even thought they never showed it during the university tour because its one of the old buildings, It was really nice place with space and a very social area because of dinning hall and the study hub. I really enjoyed my time there, everyone was nice and friendly including the staffs that work there, I never had a problem with the place ever

Although known as “the prison” Rutherford has very spacious rooms, which are good enough for an old student accommodation. It is located very central on campus so easy to get to all parts or campus very quickly (wake up 10 minutes before a lecture. You can still make it).

They time in Rutherford was definitely a unique experience, and what it lacked in facilities it made up for in uniting flatmates in survival

The part catering is actually helpful bc most days you don’t want to make food esp when you’re in societies, studyig etc and it’s actually a really nice place to make so many friends and it’s quite literally on campus. The view from the window is incredible the only issue is the toilets bc you share one without a sink between 8 people

Designed by a prison architect it was lacking in aesthetic appeal but it made up for this by uniting its residents together to provide one of the best first year uni experiences ever. I also learnt how to make a three course meal using only a microwave.
