It's in a good location, in between town and the university. It is also really handy for students who study any kind of law or criminal degree as the campus for that is a 30 second walk across the road. It is a very party ish halls, so can be quite loud at nights when everyone is coming back after a night out. It was quite good as the common room was fairly big with a pool table and telly etc. The rooms varied, but personal experience the room was big and suited me fine.

The rooms were nice and spacious even in the cheaper flats. Limited social areas but the nightlife is practically on your doorstep. Great placement if you are doing law, the lectures are just across the street! Wifi was down for maintwnance everyniw and then but an all over great signal strength year round. An all together lovely halls experience.

I spent 2 years at peter hilton. I was lucky enough to get a room with a decent bathroom rather than tiny ensuites that look like airplane (and smell like) toilets. The room itself was incredibly dated including the decor, especially the very bold curtains, and the facilities were also quite dated. The first year i stayed, there were no problems with my room other than a dodgy showerhead that got fixed pretty much straight away. The kitchen was quite large and had a small seating area. Shared with 4 other people, definefly fine for £115 a week. Though now the price has risen to £130 a week which is far to much for a shared flat. The second year wasn't as great. I stayed in the same block so had a large bathroom still but moved 2 floors down with some friends. My room had a really old radiator in that for 2 months was constanly clicking and drove me crazy. No matter how much i told them of my lack of sleep or inability to stay in my room it took ages to fix which was really dissapointing. Overall they are an ok halls, but not the best and now unfortunatly over priced.

As the biggest halls currently at the uni of derby theres always someone to talk to and you can always make new friends. Flats are pretty decent but room was a bit small; ensuite plus. The staff are really friendly and will come help whenever you need them. Really close to the central areas so not more than a 10 min walk to most clubs/town. Only downside no lift so hard to go good shopping if you're on the top floor.

Location is central to town, clean and professional staff. One downside is the decor and interior - such as curtains and carpet are stained and old fashioned.

Overall, staff have been helpful and friendly towards me. My only critique would be a delay in kitchen repairs to the tap.

Room was lovely, quite big for a university room, lots of space to move around. The location was nice as it was close to town but that also had its downfalls as during the night you would often here students come back from nights out. Cleaners were great!

Hall manager is lovely and really helpful, although actual hall facilities aren’t great for the price. Noice nuisance is fairly bad and doesn’t seem to be dealt with at all. Location for nightlife is fantastic, room mates are amazing - good friends.

Excellent halls in a perfect location, really close to all the clubs and the city center. Also has the Student Union bar (67 Bridge Street) a minuet away, serving £2 pints. 20 minuets walk to Keddelston Road campus or a free uni bus stops around the corner. Great halls manager and caretaker. The RA’s seem very inexperience this year.

Is the biggest halls of residents, is great in terms of location really close to the city centre and about a twenty minute walk to uni. Is a great halls if you are after a busy and very social experience. The rooms are a decent size for the money you are paying, however is a little noisy but that is obvious with halls.
