Since the move to Durham, queens campus student were expecting to feel much more part of the Durham student community however for both stevo and snow students, this still isn’t the case and in fact the university living experience has worsened. We are no longer a part catered college, our Jcr is at the top of the hill in the middle of nowhere so that livers out are deterred from making the trip to the college bar or college events due to the distance.

Close to the university facilities so made it easy getting to lectures and back without having to walk too far. Was also only about 10 minutes away from the centre so useful for shopping and social outings. The room itself was a good size and had everything needed for first year of university, including an en-suite bathroom which I would recommend!

The halls are amazing , there are lots of fun individuals which make the uni experience amazing. The Sainsbury's across the road is very convenient and allow you to get all the food you need very quickly. The games room is also a very good place to watch the football and have a good time with your freinds.

The halls are adequate for first year students, creating a warming community. You feel safe and secure within the grounds although the location is not perfect - would be better if was centered in Durham itself. My room is an okay size, slightly smaller than others I’ve seen but fine for living in. The onsuite is fabulous - A bonus of living here! The kitchens are a good size - 2 ovens and a full size fridge and freezer. The place would be perfect if it’s location was better. However this is being rectified as the college is moving up to Durham next year.

Nice accomodation, flats of 6 each with an ensuite and a shared kitchen. Has all the appliances you could want too. Rooms are a little on the small side, but thats normal. Shame about the pricey laundry costs. And an even bigger shame about the location- its at Stockton and not Durham! However, this wont be true for much longer as the college is moving to the centre of Durham which is exciting!

Location is relatively close to nearest bus stop to reach Durham. Rooms are of a fair size. Just need an upgrade on social areas as there are few options for this.

Lovely place to live. Very safe and secure with security staff on 24/7. Actual facilities of the college are great with a games room, college bar, and TV room. The bedrooms are nice and well furnished with an ensuite which is cleaned by staff once every 2 weeks. Kitchen is modern with plentiful space and is cleaned everyday by staff which is also great.

The location was very close to the uni making it easy to get to lectures and back especially for days when there were big gaps between lectures. I liked the way my room was laid out plus it had an ensuite and it was ideal for meeting friends as there were 6 of us in a flat and so during freshers it reduced the awkwardness of not knowing anybody.
