The location is okay - quite a walk from town and uni but there are shops and other students near by. The halls themselves are the most antisocial place I have ever been. There is no common area, no attempt to match people up based on personalities and as a result there are a lot of lonely unengaged people. On top of this, the RAs are clueless. One boy in my flat was suicidal and I reported this to the woman in charge of the halls and absolutely nothing was done to offer him counselling. Another boy told me he’d had a break down and recurves a similar level of support. The final straw was, on the last day, I got charged £60 for having posters on the wall. They wanted you to keep the walls pristine meaning you were allowed nothing that would make your room feel like a home. Awful halls, ruined freshers week.

Great common room and RA staff, good price and flats are good sized. Fraser court is a far walk from Princes Street but good for lectures in George Square and kings.

Poor social life, bad decor felt like outsiders beside catered halls pollock. Was far away from everything and took a while to walk to my campus (Eca).

Location is ideal for esp if you play hockey or rugby as probably the closed halls to Peffermill. It’s right on the bus route with the night bus stopping right outside, 15 mins to kings 20 to George and moray. Not long refurbished so really nice rooms for their price. Common room is ace too. Not that social but not too bad.
