The building is new and modern, it never got too cold, premises were clean and well kept and the staff was lovely! I personally loved living in Leith! It's too far from the centre, bus connections are great, and it was very calm compared to many other areas.

The location isn't great but it isn't terrible either - its about a 40 minute uphill walk to central campus which isn't very convenient but there is a bus stop right outside (the ridacard is about £50 a month so its definitely cheaper to just walk). The accommodation is very very expensive but quite nice - the rooms and bathrooms are nice and so is the kitchen. When things break sometimes it takes forever to have them fixed but reception staff are nice and the courtyard is a nice extra. There are only 4 washing machines for the whole accommodation meaning sometimes you have to wait a while to do laundry, and the laundry is quite expensive. The social aspect of the accommodation is terrible although the RAs do keep trying to put events on in the common room. Overall it's a nice place to stay, but for the expensive price I would definitely recommend looking for somewhere closer to central campus, and with better common facilities (there is no study room and the common room is tiny).

Despite murano being further out from most other accommodations, it is on a direct bus route and there are plenty of supermarkets nearby. The flats are modern but quite small however they provide everything you need. Staff were very friendly and helpful and knew most people on a first name basis. Unfortunately the common area never got used much when I lived there so there was not much social interaction between flats.

Good facilities, with social hub on the ground floor with a ping pong table, sofas and tv. often events are held by the RAs. The room is rather small but it is put together well and has a lot of good features. it is around 35 mins walk from the university, so many people often take the bud. The internet cut out frequently.

Good facilities, room was rather small but tidy and well put together. Has good social hub on the ground floor, with a ping pong table, sofas and tv. Around 35 minute walk to University, so often have to catch the bus. Wifi was poor and cut out frequently

Location is not ideal at all - about a 40 minute walk to George square and a 45 minute bus ride to kings buildings. Nice modern accommodation with en-suites

Murano is at the foot of Leith walk, bordering on Leith it’s self. Although this means there are plenty of supermarkets available and facilities available, it means that you are a good 30 mins walk from new college campus (where I study) and a 45 min walk from central campus. Leith walk is relatively safe, although one should never go out alone at night. However, owing to its placement on Albert street, the area around Murano is really dodgy and unsafe, with drink and drug related activities occurring on a regular bases along this stretch of road. All this means that alternative means of transportation are necessary, the price of which adds up very quickly. The halls are very modern with brilliant facilities which are both stylish and comfortable, providing allot of room. The rooms themselves are very nice with a nice ensuring, however, the shower continually backs up and can flood over. In addition, the walls are very thin, leaving very little privacy. The RAs are rather redundant, as towards the end of my 1st year I haven’t met mine once. Theres also very little in the way of opportunities to socialise within the halls themselves on a regular basis, making it feel very isolated allot of the time.

The halls are modern amd spacious, plenty of space in both rooms and living area. However the location is too far away from the university, there are frequent repairs due to the poor construction of the building, and the laundry facilities are too small for halls this large. In addition, the price is the same as other halls much closer to the university with better facilities.

The room was absolutely unreal compared to multiple other student accommodations I’ve visited - like a hotel!
