The location is great!! I would like to say the hot water pressure is low. I love the bush outside it’s a great feature of the building. My room is noisy due to the squeaky doors. Rhodes should be fixed in the flats. Also I wish my room wasn’t next to the kitchen.

Brilliant location - it's in a nice area, and is close to uni campus (10/15 minutes walk from lauriston and George square). Very cheap for halls, considering all utilities are included. My only problems were the room sizes, which were very small. I still had enough space to store all my belongings, and the kitchen was a good size. There is no proper living room though (it's the same room as the kitchen, but the seating isn't very comfortable and it's not a great place to hang out).

Warrender Park Road is not without its faults, however these are all mainly fixed pretty quickly by the staff. The staff are wonderful! In comparison to other accommodation Warrender Park Road looks bad however it is in a wonderful location and is like a community itself.

Although WPRd is one of the cheapest hall of residence for the University of Edinburgh, it is genuinely a rather nice building. Most of the flats, as far as I gathered, were no more than five people. This meant they were smaller groups and it was far easier to gel together than the larger flats elsewhere. However, this also means the flats are quite small and kitchen space is relatively limited, although still pretty good. The communal areas - kitchen and bathroom(s) - are well maintained by the university and ours were cleaned twice a week. Both served their purpose although one of the showers was a bit temperamental. There were two bathrooms in the flat I was in which came in very useful. The kitchen was good, although the oven door required a bit of persuasion to close properly. There was no livingroom type area but we made do with the kitchen-dining area as a flat social space. There was an on site bicycle shelter which was fantastically useful. The laundry was fine, although was know to breakdown sometimes. Recycling and bins were all on site which meant the task of emptying the bins when they eventually started to overflow really wasn't too bad. The halls are within easy walking distance of the Central campus and everything else you could possibly need. All in all, a great place to stay if you don't mind a bit of an outdated interior and brown carpets.
