Runnymede 1 & 2

The Runnymede 1 rooms are en suite and have an actual shower cubicle, which is nice. The shared kitchen has everything you'd expect; a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, a hob/oven etc. In terms of location, it is on campus, close to all of the other accommodation blocks and the Hub, where you can collect your deliveries. In terms of social experience, it really depends on your flatmates; the only social area is the shared kitchen.

The refurbishment is great and the room is spacious with great storage capacities. The kitchen is laid out well. The only problem with the kitchen is our oven has been broken for almost two terms and hasn’t been fixed. Aside from that, overall I am pleased.

Facilities are really good because there is an en suite and a large kitchen with all appliances included. However, the appliances such as the hot water tap and the toaster have broken and have taken a long time to be fixed. Because of the large kitchen, there is a social feel when cooking meals. The halls are around a 5 minute walk from upper campus with the Library, Founders, and the Windsor building, and the departments for psychology and geography, as well as the club Medicine and the Students Union. The halls are all close to each other, apart from Kingswood and Founders, so it's easy to make friends with people from other halls, like Tuke, Butler, and Williamson.

Close to all the facilities on campus, en suite bathroom is a perk as you get extra privacy. Hall is made up of 6 rooms so there are plenty of people to socialise with.

The only saving grace for these halls was the fact I had decent friends while living there! My heating never worked at any point, the appliances in the kitchen couldn’t be plugged in and used at the same time. Nicknamed as runnyweed for a reason.

Good sized room and and has ensuite bathroom, kitchen is small and needs refurbishment, near the sports center and back gate so good access to egham, far from all lecture buildings and library

Good accomoadtion, need a refurbishment though. Its a bit far from most of the lecture buildings but it's near the sports center and the back gate so easy access to egham, not suitable for disabled students

Lovely room, spacious, and slightly out of the way so not very noisy, nice flatmates. Security could patrol a bit more but other than that its perfect.

Disappointed with the ensuite - it’s more like an airplane toilet as opposed to an ensuite. Good location within uni

Is good that the accomodation is on campus but is far from a lot of important places like the shop and the SU. Room itself is ok it does the job but was a bit dirty when I first arrived.the old cleaner was awful but they finally got a new one which is much better.

On one hand, you get what you pay for. On the other hand, my kitchen shouldn't CONSTANTLY be losing power. Three times in two weeks? Insane. Overall, the rooms themselves are good. Showers are pretty small, but the room as a whole is a nice size.
