The university is situated beside the main bus station in Glasgow. It is also within walking distance of both major train stations. It is situated within 10 minutes of the main shopping streets and restaurants.

My university is great. Smack bang in the centre of pretty much everything any student needs. Lots of cheap places around from local shops, clothing stores, pubs/clubs, cinema etc all offer student discounts. Various ways in which you can travel including walk, train, bus, cycle

Location is great. Close enough to city centre for convineince but far enough to avoid busy city centre. Things to do: kelvin grove park & gallery, huntarian mueseum, riverside mueseum, cinema (Grovner) Nights out: loads of places within walking distance as well as clubs in city centre that can be easily accessed by underground Food: 2 main roads near by provide an array of cuisines

So many cheap things to do, and the friendliest people! I would definitely recommend it to a friend just based on the city itself, but it’s also an amazing university.

Glasgow is without a doubt the greatest city in the world - for anyone, not just students. It is an amazing place to go to university, the culture is brilliant and everyone is always up for a good time and having fun. It's a unique place and somewhere you need to live in for a while to fully understand and appreciate.

The University of Strathclyde is in an ideal location for students living all over Scotland. There are major bus and train links to almost every town and city at extremely affordable student-friendly rates just mere minutes from the main buildings. The university itself is right in the centre of Glasgow, meaning there is plenty to do in your off periods, including high street shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafes, and even a cinema. Not to mention the centre is a staple for nightlife, especially for students. Some uni buildings are situated on top of, or in the middle of a hill, which does make it quite hard bearing to get to class, but not only do you get used to it after a few week, but it’s a free workout that makes you feel good about yourself once you make it to the top!

Amazing, right next to all the shops and bars just a short 5 minute walk onto george square where you have lovely bars restaurants and cafes to stop and then an extra 5 minute walk to buchanan street and argyle street filled with lots of shops to have a look through and right next to all the clubs so you can walk to and from the clubs on a night out

The university is situated at the top of the city centre, around a 5 minute walk to the busiest shopping street in Glasgow. Straight infront of the uni there is a Glasgow main bus station and a 5 minute walk to nearest subway and 10 minute to either Glasgow central train station and Glasgow queen street train station. As it is in the city centre, there is almost everything you need, shops, food, pub, clubs. Glasgow is excellent for shopping, night out and amazing food round the city all within different price ranges.

The food is alright however it’s better to go to a food place in town. The value for money is quite good however some people disagree and say it’s far too expensive for what your getting. Nights out are always fun with cheap drink on every corner.

The university is in a good location in the west end, close to lots of bars and places to eat. It is near Kelvingrove Park and botanic gardens, and easily accessible by train, bus or subway.

Glasgow city centre is compact but this means entertainment/restaurants/nights it are within easy reach of one another. Especially good for exhibitions and events (important for students at Glasgow School of Art). Eating out is inexpensive but there are many good options (eg. Paesano, Mother India Cafe, CCA). Overall an excellent place to be a student.

Good for nights out (there is a massive club scene), food, casual drinks, gigs are also plentiful if you're into them Though no really good scenery if that's what you look for unless it's in the west end which is where UOG is located. The shopping in Glasgow is excellent though.

There are a lot of clubs available in Glasgow city centre such as Campus, Firewater, Cathouse and Kokomo. These clubs range from ages of 18 to 35 since there are a lot of music genres that would interest each age group such as rock or pop. There are also themed events at each nightclub most nights so it would attract attention of students especially those that are new to the area. For food, Glasgow is well known for having a lot of choices since it pretty much does all cuisines ranging from Indian, American, Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Japanese. Everything is easy to find in the centre since there is a lot of signage available. Moving onto shopping, there are a lot of outlets that are accessible to the public with the options of very affordable to branded products.
