Even though the cheapest, Birkbeck Court was by far the most fun! Basic accommodation but full of great people up for a good time.

This halls is cheap and cheerful. It is the cheapest halls to stay in at Strathclyde and definitely throws the best parties. Flats of 6 people with a very tight living area, where mess can build up quite easily!

The location is great. 2 minutes away from Andersonian Library and the Sports Centre, right in the middle of campus. It takes five minutes maximum to walk to your lectures, so you do not need to use public transpotation. The experience is okay. The culture is such that everyone drinks and Birkbeck is known as the ‘party hall’. Whether you would find that aspect enjoyable depends on your personality. Areas to socialise are the common room, though very small, the benches in middle of the buildings and Lord Todd’s. Rooms are very small especially for taller people. It can be dark if your flat is facing north. However, considering the price you pay, it is a fair trade - you get the basic things you need. There have been almost no issues with the Internet. It can slow at times, mostly on mobile devices, but in general it’s good.

Room is quite small, wide angle camera used in photos is quite deceiving. Single bed provided is quite awful, frequently get a sore back. Quite good for socialising however, parties are good- but you will get fined for minor offences. Location is amazing, right in city centre which is one of the few redeeming factors this halls of residence has to offer- no need for taxis to any of the major clubs in Glasgow.

I had the best time ever here. The rooms are very small with a small wardrobe. The kitchens are also small but you get 2 bathrooms between 6 people. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed being in birkbeck court. I made brilliant friends. Washing machines etc are not included in the rent but WiFi and gas and electric are.

Kitchen is quite small for 6 people especially if everyone cooks. But not as bad as I was expecting based on previous reviews.

The location of Birkbeck is awesome, right on campus so you can walk to lectures and the library within 2 minutes. Socially it was great, Strathclyde aim to match you with likeminded individuals which worked out well for me. The rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. Good value for money.

The hall is a good location being so close to the library, campus building and downtown. However it is not set up to make friends other than the flat mates you are paired with. It is hard to travel to other buildings or floors to meet new people. And there is little common area to socialize.

The location is really good because it's close to all of the university buildings, it's near the city centre and it's close to all of the other halls of residence too. I like the system it uses to pair you with your flat mates.

Great experience, close knit community with nearby bar to socialise. Very close to all university buildings. Made some great friends

Birkbeck is honestly quite bad. The kitchen and bedrooms are very small and cramped. I suppose this isn't too bad for £100 a week bit could definitely be much better. The heaters go off at certain times of day. The flat just seems very gloomy and ikea-esque.

The best part of uni. Most fun scenario. Non stop party. Perfect location right on campus and beside loads of shops, five min walk from centre. Met so many different people and had so many fun new experiences. Room was really really small with next to no wardrobe space but was manageable.

The price is really great of course but there's a problem with patches of mould in some of the rooms including someone's bedroom. Also all the doors being fire doors I'm sure is great for safety but they're really heavy and literally shove us out of rooms sometimes and since the handles stick sharply out its possible to get a graze down your back from them. Thanks facilities are good although you have to bring your own pots, pans, cutlery etc. The cooker, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster all work well and there's an accommodation team and security team to help with anything u may need

The facilities are great, it's so easy to make friends, the wifi is amazing, really glad i decided to come to halls instead of staying at home

Right beside the library and within walking distance of the buildings on campus! I live in the cheapest of the halls but they are reasonable. I have enjoyed living here.

Birkbeck is placed right in the middle of campus, with a short walk to most classes and very close to the library. For its price, you really do get your money’s worth. As it has been recently renovated, the rooms and bathrooms, although small, are quite nice. In my opinion, birkbeck is the social hub of the Strathclyde campus. There’s always parties going on, and everyone is very friendly.
