The housing was really nice, the college was quite far from the centre of the uni (about a 20/30 minute walk to lectures) and from my experience living with 7 strangers wasn't fun(different for everyone I know!)

The location is good because it avoids the busiest bus stops. There's a quiet study area and a printer which is good, however it is a 15 min walk to where most lectures take place which isn't great in the rain. The rooms are decent sizes and there is a real sense of community as there is a bar which holds social events

Lonsdale is one of the founding colleges (with Bowland, boo) and overall is a good college. It is located away from central campus which can be annoying at times, but the bar can be good which sometimes makes up for it. The halls I stayed in was the standard ensuite with a shared kitchen and no lounge space, don't expect anything luxury...

Couldn't fault the college really. My downgrading of one star is really myself being picky. The college bar is not open enough and the pool tables are not maintained and are left broken. The porters are brilliant. The deanery could do with being stricter as noise complaints and hate were not dealt with at all. Victim had to leave their house and move instead of the person making their life difficult. The bar should also serve food. It is the only bar on campus that doesn't. Also the JCR run events fall flat and other colleges are definitely more successful.

The location is good, being a campus university, the ensuite is okay but it has its limitations, such as the showers either are cold or burning hot, no inbetween, in the kitchen if it is not already clean the cleaners won’t clean...strange ... no social area in the house. The rooms are tiny for the price
