In my first year this was an ok place to stay. Personally I think it was the best out of the affordable accommodations. I wasn’t to keen on sharing a flat with others but there is definitely enough room in the kitchen areas for everyone and the rooms are en-suite so you don’t need to share toilets. Beds have under storage which bangs and the beds are quite spacious. I just do not like the fact that it is on a waste land and the walls are super thin but otherwise it’s pretty decent.

The accommodation itself is pretty good. Good location; close to uni, Lidl, corner shops and chippies etc. Socially everyone is pretty talkative and freshers week was probably when everyone was most active and social (partly because of the alcohol). The common room isn't very big and not many people go in it but there it a foosball table and table tennis which is pretty good. A plus or minus depending on who you are is there are always parties being thrown. Downside is I believe the accommodation doesn't do much if you have problem in your flat. My flatmate is so dirty and stole my stuff and when I told them about it I was told to basically convince her to clean up and if she doesn't there not much we can do. Also we now have cockroaches because of this and getting it fumigated is one long process. Also they take ages to fix broke things; our window didn't close so they closed it and took of the handle now we cant open the window at all. Internet works when it want to.

Had a really good experience at Filbert Village in my first year of uni. My room was nice and spacious, my bed comfortable and the en suite was also a nice size. The staff were extremely helpful with any issues which I’d had and were very friendly! The only reason why I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the pricing of the washing/drying facilities and the cost of the car park too. In my opinion they are extremely expensive for students.

The experience at Filbert Village has so far been very positive. It is a large accomodation and so there is a diverse environment surrounding you. There are plenty of friends to be made and all in all there is little disturbance, facilities are great and the security/reception staff are very friendly.

The accommodation, although looking rather rough from the outside, is surprisingly clean, well maintained and homely. The rooms are big and clean, as well as having all facilities that you'd need, such as kettle toaster etc in the kitchen. The staff are always available and helpful, and help to make you feel welcome while staying there. Any maintance problems are resolved very promptly through the easy to use app which is very helpful. Despite being a 5-10 minute walk away from the university itself, this is a perfect location price wise and definitely a good option for student accommodation.

Generously spacious kitchen for student accommodation. The location isn't ideal as it is further out of the way than the other accommodations, but in general good value for money.

Nice location, good staff, easy access to many shops and the city centre, cost of living around Leicester is not to bad either.

Overall filbert village is an average accommodation to stay at. The distance from De Montfort university is roughly a 10-15 walk. My social experience wasn’t great. When I first looked at the accommodation they said that they held social events through the year. This never happened. The rooms are fairly spacious and the beds are large and comfortable. In terms of facilities, they have washing machines and tumble dryers but is quite expensive.

The location of my accomodation is set really well. My university and city centre are 10 minutes away which is perfect. The facilities are new, the people on the reception are friendly and helpful. There is breakfast every morning. There are 4 rooms in each apartment which is not too much, nice kitchen with a lot of cooking supplies and a restroom. The bedroom is well furnished. General cleaning pretty often plus checkings of the water and electricity. Nice views. Big common room with a big screen TV and ping pong table nice for chilling and activities, studying room and I small kitchen which is perfect combination for cozy studying or group working.

Absolutely unbelievable. The halls are perfect for everyone. The beds are nice and comfortable which is perfect to prepare you for the lectures as feeling refreshed is crucial. I would recommend these to anyone. They are nice and big so there is enough room for everyone and everything. Everyone is nice and there is a place to meet. Fantastic value.

The walls in the rooms and in the flats are paper thin, its always so loud everywhere. And the accomodation doesnt do anything if one of your flat mates is constantly being loud and disrespectful, all you can do is call up security and they will deal with it for the moment but the person will continue to be loud. They should have moved that person a long time ago considering none of us get along with that person. Also the location of the accomodation is terrible, if i knew where it was i wouldnt have taken it but the front of the accomodation was never advertised. Theres a waist land right in front of it and is unkept and full of litter.

Requested a room on the 5th floor. Instead was given a room in the ground floor, with a disabled bathroom. The halls were fairly cheap hence why I chose it. There’s maintenance every week and we all get notifications about it, and I’ve had to submit several maintenance requests in my room. My bathroom floods every time I have a shower, my desk was broken when I first arrived, my kitchen was dirty presumably from previous tenants, and staff manage to put my post in the wrong mailbox, which has been an issue when I requested a new bank card and it ended up in my neighbors mailbox. Wifi has been an issue for myself and all flatmates too. When telling staff about it, they offered little to no help

The accommodation is great with the staff but it is a bit old and some renovation can modernise it and attract more students. I like the flat and space however the cupboards should be bigger and better organised.

Would not recommend anyone to stay here. Small rooms for the high price, 10 minute walk from campus and over 20 minutes from the town. Many police incidents occurring regularly due to troublesome students and very loud at night.

It has a really nice decor following the recent renovation, however as with all halls it is a lottery with what flatmates you get. My flatmates are loud at 3am and bully me if I report them. Avoid Halls altogether.

Full of horrible people, the staff don’t care about who’s living there or welfare of who’s living there, it really badly effected my mental health.

It's really good for first years a great way to socialise. The only downside is that you have to pay for washing but oh well it's not that bad.

Good space- social areas really clean and tidy- rooms all spacious and very sociable place to live! Would recommend to new students! The bed and work desk is useful and all rooms are left tidy! Friendly staff and lots of help available when required!

Halls weren’t too bad on arrival but some of the facilities aren’t as they appear in the pictures it’s alright but it’s further from campus than the reviews say and can sometimes become annoying

Filbert Village is perfect in terms of location and room quality. The only problem I have encountered is the headboard being on the wrong wall because the paint peels, but apart from that it’s been brilliant!
