Location is very good in terms of distance from bus / overground, and very easy in to central London . No en-suite but for a significantly cheaper price tag this is a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Fortunately had a very nice flat with no issues . Rooms are small but seems to be very standard for central London although unfortunately the windows are useless and don’t shut properly, let lots of cold in and rattle very loudly. Lots of street noise if on the side of main row.

These are the cheapest halls for goldsmiths university and you can definitely tell this is true. I first saw the flats when I moved in and I was shocked. The flats are above restaurants on the high street and all of the rubbish from these restaurants are outside our flats. You go up to your rooms via a flight of very steep stairs that when you are drunk feel like could give way at any second. I opened the door to my flat to be greeted with the smell of Lebanese food and damp and still to this day am greeted by this. The toilet door doesn't lock and despite numerous emails they haven't fixed this. The showers have mold on it. The kitchen is on the third floor which is very far if you are on the bottom like I am. There also isn't any security at all, there's a little shed like hut at the bottom of the residence but it hasn't been used ever and has graffiti all over it. It is very sketchy and scary especially at night so make sure you take a friend when ever you go home. Do not live in these flats, get a better one like Loring y'all.

Although the cheapest accommodation - Batavia has character, and a home atmosphere. Unlike other halls with long corridors and a big kitchen, Batavia is split across three levels.

The location is one of the stars and the other is for the price. The only reason why I didn’t move out was because the rent was so cheap and I was 5 minutes away from uni. Everything else was a constant headache. We constantly didn’t have hot water or heating, and the admin took days to fix it every time. Whenever someone opened the mai door, it would slam shut and it would wake me up every time. My flares were really friendly, but most of them were loud and messy. The kitchen looked like a dumpster and I would constantly would get woken up at 3 or 4 am on weekdays. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s worth spending a bit more for something descent.
