Daniel Defoe Hall is a fantastic place to live, it has a wide variety of room choices with modern fittings and great staff. The university goes the extra mile to ensure all of the residents within Daniel Defoe Hall have a comfortable living experience during their time at university. Living at Daniel Defoe Hall has provided me the extra comfort I need during a stressful degree, and I can have peace of mind knowing that I can go back to a safe and comfortable room each night.

The location of the halls is fantastic, just outside the train station and less than 10 minute walk from the main university campus. The choice of local food shops are limited to express stores unless your up for a walk or jump on public transport. The rooms themselves in the halls are not very welcoming or particularly comfortable, the decoration is VERY bare leaving the impression of a prison cell. The kitchens however are a nice open space with plenty of light (and if you up hight enough) some amazing views. Some of the flats isolated so its hard to actually know who your neighbour's are. Overall the reception staff are friendly and helpful. Ridiculously overpriced

Love it here. Clean and tidy unlike other halls. great atmosphere with lots of places to chill with friends. The gym downstairs is small but there is a pure gym outside if you're a keen gym enthusiast. right next to the DLR station and a 2 minute walk from pubs and shops its certainly the best student accommodation in greenwich.

DDF halls was an incredible facility to live in for the year I was there. It had nice interiors and was nicer than some hotels I've stayed in. The staff were really friendly and the rooms were really nice. They fixed problems quickly. Right by the DLR so brilliantly connected.

Very modern halls of residence, good first year experience. Would be better if you were able to collect parcels at all times and if the ovens were more powerful

My stay here for my first year was good and local to the city and campus! Overall maintenance of this particular branch of University of Greenwich’s student halls I would rate the best. Room was spacious, wish that they were double beds. The price of the rooms at Daniel Defoe are put on a higher mark then the other accommodations connected to Greenwich, but you get what you pay for and I would say that Daniel Defoe is the better choice between the options for accommodation for uni of Greenwich.

Wasn’t worth the amount charged a lot nicer acomadations around, no games room and cafeteria is just not in any use.

Good size room especially ones with en suite bathroom; new building with a modern design so everything still seems in good condition opposed to other halls; the front desk staff are there 24/7 and very friendly and helpful; great location only 5-10 minute walk from the university and right by the Greenwich DLR station and train station which gets you in to central London in under 20 minutes! Overall very pleasant experience living here.

Such a friendly hall to live in, everyone is friendly and inviting. If you need anything just ask on the group chat and someone will help you out! Even if you don’t know them :)

Decent Halls! Good standard however a little bit pricey, costs £180.25 a week and could definitely find somewhere privately for cheaper

Nice halls of residence in a good area but very overpriced for what you get! At over £170pw all you get is a room and a toilet, being a student and being on a budget with rent this expensive just isn’t doable these days even with a part time job!

A little on the expensive side but so worth it! My flat mates are lovely and clean & the room is gorgeous. Every room comes with your own en suite with a separate toilet and shower which means no flooding!!

My flat mates werent very social which wasn’t great and I was let down by the social side of it. But the facilities were really good and the rooms were nice.

The halls are nice, clean and modern and tidy. The security system is good and I was surprised by how big the rooms were. However, the radiators do not always work and the fire alarm and water tank alarm would go off a lot, which was very disruptive and meant I could not sleep. However, the halls are a small distance from the university, which means that I can reach the university very quickly and there are good social spots around the halls. The Wi-Fi is generally good but the utilities are basic and the washing machines do not always work.

Great location right next to the DLR and about 15 minutes from the university. Clean large rooms with spacious kitchen. Cleaning service every week. Social life is good, flat parties and gatherings weekly. Not really any common area and only 4 washing machines.

Right outside train station, which was a possible but also a negative as we had buskers continuously. So always had to go to the library to do work! Room was lovely and a good size for a student room and it is expensive compared to many uni accommodation, so I need a lot of help from parents and a big overdraft.

Lovely and modern, however there are a few issues with the fire alarm and we had a problem with the floor flooding in our flat. Location is amazing, right next to the DLR so super easy to get everywhere.
