I stayed at this hall for the 2018-2019 year, in a single ensuite study room. Overall, it was a good experience, and the location is great ... about 5 min walk to Kings Cross and 20-25 to SOAS. However, I did have some issues with the speed of repairs (my kitchen had a broken window for the entire year despite constant requests for it to be fixed) and some problems with stealing from other students. The laundry is also incredibly expensive, and often broken. Despite this, I would recommend Dinwiddy if you need an easy, convenient place to stay.

Location was good, close to kings cross. On a very noisy main road though which affected my ability to sleep. Social experience was fine. Staff organised events seemed awkward and forced and childish. Room is small and many things are broken. You complain about the broken things but they never get fixed. The value for money is poor. Rent is expensive and facilities are dreadful. Less than basic. Pest problems. Staff are rude. Not secure premises. Sensitive fire alarms.

Amazing location, right by Kings Cross station and walking distance to Angel (15-20 min) and SOAS (25-30 min). The standard ensuite rooms are simple, but nice and I personally have had no problems with the ensuite. Some of the flats are recently renovated, with brand new kitchens and appliances, which is really nice. However, whenever there is any kind of problem, it takes ages for it to be fixed. My kitchen had some issues that we had reported in early-October, and as of now (late-December) it has yet to be fixed. I also know of other people who have had issues with their ensuite, and other issues with their kitches that take a long time to be fixed. Regardless, Dinwiddy House is in an amazing location, and is definitely worth it especially for students only staying in London for a short time.

I've stayed at Dinwiddy House for couple of years and it's definitely gotten better over time! The location is great as it's right by Kings Cross statiom and SOAS campus is easily reachable by foot; the area around as well as Angel up the road are also excellent for food and shopping. The flat I've stayed in was freshly renovated however be aware that not all the flats are - flats in block A definitely need a refreshment. Tue rent has gone uo over the years but it's still a good value for money for what you get (ensuite) and where you are (central London). Dinwiddy House a quite spacious common room and area outside for socialising but the courtyard can be a bit noisy at times which can inconvenience those whose room faces it. Other facilities include the laundry room and spacious bike sheds.

The location isn’t very good and the price fairly reasonable however management is practically unresponsive, I’ve had problems in my room since day 1 and they’ve only just been delt with. For some reason a 7 resident flat only has 6 chairs in the kitchen, but a 5 resident flat has 7.

okay for it’s price, but a lot of problems with the kitchen which time and time again it does not get fixed. also such a lack of a community feel, when i moved in i had to forcefully knock on people’s doors to find out who my roommates were, and we do not do anything together as a flat
