I stayed at Intrrnational Hall for a year - disgusting. The whole floor shares a toilet and shower room, where there is only 2 shower cubicles. Numerous incidents where students vomit inside the shower cubicles and they were not cleaned for days. Have had to go to a very far toilet to shower as a result. Also had multiple times where the toilets overflowed and it was not cleaned for weeks. You can even smell the foul smell from the corridors. Meal times were ridiculously early (starts from around 5pm) and is not convenient for university students who have full days. There are little study spaces, and the lobby does not feel welcoming at all. Very unfortunate as the location was ideal. Overall had a really poor experience.

I stayed at connaught Hall which is a smaller intercollegiate hall. Being smaller, everyone tends to recognise everyone else after a while. So it's a nice feeling of community. The facilities were old but adequate. Food was the same as the other intercollegiate halls. Beds were very small. Has a good bar with cheap drinks downstairs.

Social experience was excellent. Food was good. Security was fairly good. Staff were friendly. Rooms were decent sizes. Bathrooms were invariably filthy.

It is just really bad smells no hygiene no communication either which to me is so absurd and unfair.

Garden Halls themselves are lovely, the rooms are modern and clean plus the beds are super comfortable! That being said, if you want a ‘proper’ university experience like going out or having a close knit flat I would say probably don’t choose Garden as there was no atmosphere or social life. Plus they are incredibly expensive.

International Hall - bedrooms are decently sized, however bathrooms can often become disgusting throughout the day. Furthermore, as it is a catered hall, the meals are generally flavourless, rubbery and unenjoyable. The cutlery in the dining hall is also often dirty, with food particles attached.

Love intercollegiate halls. Stayed in connaught hall tavistock square and it was amazing. I met many new people from all the different university of london across london and definitely enhanced my university experience! U can take 5 items per day which sucks to be honest.( food) but otherwise the food is pretty limited, but they do try, unlike international hall which is terrible.

Location is great. Facilities are sufficient. Socials are fantastic. My room was tiny but sufficient. Catered food was bad though.

Location was really far from the college. Social life was good as eating with everyone built a communal spirit. Room was luxurious, with a fireplace (albeit not working). Facilities were adequate, large shower on the top floor was amazing.

Very comfortable building, with spacious social areas and lobby. The rooms are very comfortable, and the catering is quite good. Love the friendly atmosphere.

Nutford house offers a great social experience- the senior members organised several events throughout the year-on-year I ended up making great friendships The location was alright- almost everything was accessible but my university was a but far off People did steal food from the fridge which was a shame - other than that the food provided was alright (breakfast was great but dinner is debatable)

I was so happy I could choose to go to an intercollegiate hall so i had the opportunity to meet loads of people from around the world and around the different London Unis. My halls had breakfast and dinner which I thought was a great way to mingle and meet new people. There were regular activities in the bar, theme nights, open mic nights and even in between floors competitions. The location at russel square was just perfect for a newbie in London. First year was a blast thanks to these halls.

Connaught hall is the best. The warden and the senior members really take care of you. It also has a bar and therefore a great social scene. You also get to meet people from other unis. The location is extremely convenient, too. The food is however quite bad. The head chef Lydia is the only staff who is mean and she is just disgusting.

Being situated at Russell Square has its benefits; a 20 minutes walk to Strand campus, opposite senate house library, and in close proximity to loads of London’s attractions etc. The facility itself is however disappointing - the catered food is unsatisfactory, breakfast is okay but dinners are highly unpredictable and often not particularly edible. The single rooms are small but provide the basics one needs to study and sleep - being social is always quite difficult as there is one common room between the 800+ residents

I lived in intercollegiate halls (Hughes parry hall at the time) for my first year of university. Overall my experience there was excellent. The location was great with most of central London within walking distance - great for nights out, shppping, and sightseeing. It was a short commute to London Bridge although travelling at rush hour could be a bit unpleasant sometimes. The facilities were okay; the rooms themselves were nice, shared bathrooms on each floor were okay - cleaned regularly and I never had to queue. The social experience was the best part of these halls for me. As the halls were catered, every meal was an opportunity to socialise and rooms were large enough for a movie night. Spontaneous nights out were also easy to plan given the range of clubs and bars within walking distance. The halls committed also organised regular halls parties which were great for relaxing and socialising

I lived in Hughes Parry Hall and it wasn't my original first choice, but I absolutely loved my time there. The location was great, very central and walking distance to uni. The huge number of people meant there was always something going on and I met great people. The staff were always very friendly and it was nice having your food all made for you being in first year!

Location is excellent, just up the road from Tottenham Court Road station. Very nice quiet road. Staff are very pleasant and catered food is better than expected.
