Julian Markham

The location couldn't be better in terms of transport links, ease of getting to campus or immediate access to necessities - there is everything ranging from a gym to sports direct to a 24 hour McDonald's right down our road. The only negative is that the residence was not finished when we arrived but now that time has passed, it couldn't be cleaner, more modern or have better amenities. In terms of social experience, it's close to guys bar as well as having many pubs and clubs (especially Ministry of Sound) practically on the doorstep.

Julian Markham House is ideally located in London as it is a stone’s throw away from Guy’s Campus and the Waterloo Campus. It is in a vibrant and bustling area, and with a host of other student residences around, one feels safe when walking about. The facilities like the on-site laundry room are very convenient, and makes last-minute washing at 10pm all the more easier! Thank goodness for that. It’s also a good place to find friends when the kitchen is shared as it becomes a pivotal part of res life.

The halls are lovely with really nice staff. They always have things going on in the common room which is a great way to help make friends and for when you are first settling in. They were very helpful when I was moving in. My only thing to improve on is that when things stop working i.e. heating, oven etc...they are a little slow fixing but this is only a minor thing.

Julian Markham House is a good accomodation for the price. It’s a good location since most night busses go here and elephant and castle is right on the door step. The accomodation is clean and the staff is friendly but quiet. The accomodation does have a weed smell sometimes and post has been going missing

Loved halls! Very sociable and living in Julian Markham meant I was in 20 minuets of uni and within easy access of studenty areas

Really great flats ! Rooms are standard sized for uni halls ! Have great desk space and ensuite is ok ! Lots of storage under bed etc, such a good team looking after everyone ! Lots of events and people are genuinely lovely ! Great central location too !

Location is great you are so close to the tube which has great links to all the campuses ! The rooms are reasonable size and kitchens are ok ! Some black mould growing but they are renovating the kitchens this summer ! Everyone is so lovely they hold a lot of events which were great to meet people at in the first week or so !
