I stay in the Myddleton wing of Rosebery Hall Room: I have single room with shared bathroom and shower with 4 other people, room-wise it is acceptable, not too small that I feel claustrophobic and enough for me to pace around during a writer's block. However, the walls are chipped and the sink cabinet is broken and despite requesting for repair 3 times, they refused to send anyone to check them out. Shared areas: shared shower and toilet are always clean, and the kitchen is mostly clean but this really depends on the people staying on your floor which is usually about 24 people Common room: there's a bar, which opens only like twice a term, so that's bad compared to Bankside Hall where the bar is open every single night. There's a foosball table and pool table, but the pool table is pretty much too run down for a proper game. Food: this is a catered hall meaning dinner is provided Sunday to Friday and brunch on Saturday. Generally, sometimes the food is acceptable and sometimes they're not it's like a 60% chance the food is not too bad, but the brunch is always good! Reception staff: most of the staff are friendly and helpful. They help us collect deliveries from online shopping, etc. Social: not too bad, depends on the people staying on your floor, sometimes they're very sociable while sometimes they might hang out with their clique rather than floormates

Great social life and facilities. The dinner every evening and the brunch on Saturday is very good. Quite cheap. However, there are too many constructions all the time.

Very central location Dormitory style rather than blocks of flats so slightly less sociable than other universities Building seems to be always broken so constant stream of builders

This is a relatively small hall, which allows it to feel homely and welcoming, yet it is large enough that you are sure to ind people to make good friend with. The rooms are basic, but not the very small size of some London halls, being gradually refurbished and have access to modern bathrooms. Location is excellent in leafy Islington and evening meals are included in a very reasonable London rent.

Really cosy and great social life. The catered food is good, with a wide range of choices. People at the hall are friendly and I like that the toilets are cleaned everyday. The kitchen is functional with a kettle, toaster and microwave provided.

Very welcoming atmosphere. Catered dinner very helpful. Very reasonable room prices. About 8 minutes cycling to school, very central location. Wish I could stay here for the next two years.

There was good social life and opportunities available for everyone, including yoga and meditation during exam periods. However, the food was poor quality.

Rosebery Hall is pretty far from LSE but it offers the most value for student accommodation. Facilities are clean however some can poorly maintained.

Rosebery is a humble, yet incredibly social and centrally located residence hall. The rooms are quite basic - bed, wardrobe, study table and a drawer. It's not fancy, but it is comfortable and serves the purpose - a safe and clean place to sleep and study. That being said, Rosebery is absolutely fantastic when it comes to catering, social life, and location. We're catered for one meal a day and the food is fresh, nutritious and there's a ton of variety for everyone. I'm vegetarian and I have no troubles at all finding something to eat. The fact that we eat together promotes a healthy social life and there are regular events organised in the common room, which fosters a sense of community. Finally, you can't beat the location - bang in the middle of Islington, 10mins walk from Angel. This is probably the most valuable for money out of all the Rosebery halls!

The Angel/Islington area is a wonderful location - safe, quiet and has many nice restaurants and cafes around. However, the actual halls of residence is in a constant terrible state of affairs - the elevators don't always work, the toilets are always under maintenance, we even had a flood as a pipe broke!

Social atmosphere is buzzing - really nice staff, cleaners, receptionists and security guards. Room is fairly small but decent value for money. Toilets and showers are a bit iffy. WiFi is decent.
