Location in the world is not ideal for a student with no car, on campus is great - 2 min walk to everything else. Facilities mostly good, bigger kitchen for 10+ people would be good plus some of the showers are tiny, overall fine though. Social experience great - everyone is so friendly on campus! Room is good - plenty of storage and lots of light from windows, heating is erratic though. Walls are SO thin though... uni should provide earplugs as a welcome gift.

The Southwood Halls are the best on the Silwood Park Campus, especially Southwood 1 because it has a large common room and modern kitchen. The halls are great value for money for the area but can get a little isolating as it takes an hour on the train to London and the nearest station is a 25 minute walk away or a £5 taxi ride. That said, the campus is lovely in its rural setting with lots of nice grounds to walk in including a lake, and I regularly see deer, foxes and occasionaly badgers. The rooms themselves in a Southwood are spacious and contain a single bed, sink, desk and chair, wardrobe and 1-2 drawer sets.

The Southwood Halls are the best on the Silwood Park Campus, especially Southwood 1. This is mainly due to the nice, large common room and modern (ish) kitchen. The halls are great value for money for the area. Unfortunately the train station is a 25-30 minute walk and it takes a further 50 minutes (occasionally longer) into Waterloo from Sunningdale station. There are very few connections to the main South Kensington Campus, so it can feel a little isolating at times. However, everybody has common interests and the rural setting of the halls is lovely - I see all kinds of wildlife just from the kitchen window (foxes, deer and the occasional badger!). The facilities in the halls are perfectly fine, several small bathrooms with toilets and showers. Like all university residences, things break from time to time but maintenance are pretty quick are fixing any problems once reported. The rooms themselves are nice - single rooms that contain a desk, sink, wardrobe and 1-2 sets of drawers. Overall, I think the Southwood Halls are great!
