Butler Court

The hall is really close to where the economics lectures are. The large en suite rooms are definitely one of the biggest on campus and they have decent amount of shelving/storage. Some of the blocks are more recently refurbished than others, but overall they all look quite good.

Good hall for business students as it’s closer to the department and lectures than those in the student village. Shared rooms are good to get to know people but it wasn’t clear that they would have single beds (even deluxe). Common room is always open to socialise and usually freebies by reception! Good distance to the union for nights out and also closer to town than most halls.

Only 10 minutes away from town, regular freebies at the reception, right next to the Design school, affordable, regularly cleaned

Closest hall on campus to town and near to lecture halls (unless you're in Engineering) and the union. Bit of a walk to the library, maybe 25 mins, but it didn't bother me because there are study rooms and IT rooms 5 mins walk away. Social was alright; found it a bit clique-y if I'm honest and this was mainly due to the committee members while I was there. Sharing a room was challenging, but also pretty fun. Highs and lows I guess but the twin rooms are much bigger and cheaper than having you're own room. I definitely don't regret going to Halls but I didn't go back in second or third year.

I had an amazing time in these halls in my first year at Loughborough. The location is perfect; it's the closest hall to town, maximum 10 minute walk to most lecture theaters, close to the majority of the sporting facilities and less than a 10 minute walk from the Students' Union. The rooms have all recently been renovated with there being a choice of 3 different options to suit all budgets. The best thing... you'll be sharing a bathroom with maximum 1 other person and you'll have a cleaner to clean it!! The committee are brilliant as well as the warden team and will make your time at Loughborough the best it can possibly be!
