The accommodation is in a great location on Oxford Road, 15min walk from uni. The facilities including the gym and car park and study areas are also amazing and very useful to me. The rooms are small and the beds are small but the kitchen area is a decent size for 5 people who live in each flat. Also you get given a tv in the kitchen to watch and 2 fridges which is great. You can easily make friends in the courtyard area and the gym. There is a Tesco, Lidl, Poundland and Superdrug underneath so there is a good variety of shops.

Doesn’t look like the photos they use to promote the halls. However the common area is really nice, modern and clean. They need to work on the actual rooms, the use of colourful walls and clashing carpets just makes it an aesthetic mess. Maintainence issues don’t get fixed for months and reviews don’t really get listened to!

I have a bronze room which is basic but has everything you might need in your 1 year. The rooms are small as expected from halls but not too small. The kitchen was slightly damaged upon arrival but everything was in working order and maintain requests get fixed relatively quick. Their is access to a free gym which is small but you can't complain for a free facility. Their is good communication about events the hall is offering and mostly they are free as well. Also in the communal space is the washing facilities which are overpriced but are a necessity. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this accommodation and it is in good walking distance of both universities and shops/bars ect. Bus routes are frequent and some what affordable. I have had nothing but a good experience.

So wilmslow is in a great location it’s a bit further than the other accommodations but it still has a lot of shops and stuff near…the pictures are by far the most deceiving if your goin to wilmslow based on the looks from the website pictures you will be rather disappointed…tips are to make as much friends as possible within your accommodation and make sure the kitchen area is always clean as you may find some furry friends coming along to join you and wilmslow were so bad with calling the pest control

Cosy rooms, lack of WiFi was a downside. Value for money was great and repairs were carried out fast.

I only lived in Wilmslow for 3 months as I moved back home due to deferring my course. My time there wasn’t enjoyable at all. The main corridors and the lift were dirty as hell with litter, there was always a funky smell lingering around and loads of peoples flats were infested with mice. I saw one on two occasions in the kitchen. Of course the staff didn’t nothing about it apart from saying that they’ll send pest control. This never happened. Only good thing about living there was getting a free annual bus pass and having an on-site gym.

Reception are very friendly but irresponsible to complaints. Rooms are ok at best but needed lots of work during my stay (including replacement of carpet, furniture and tiles). Some issues were not rectified at all during my stay and they were unable to compensate this despite the majority of the issues conflicting with our rent agreement. Overall I would recommend not staying at this hall at all.

Great location and great atmosphere but a few problems throughout the year. On the whole my experience was good and we got given alot of free things which is always great.

The common room is nice and fancy and majority of the people seem friendly. However, most days there’s always something that goes wrong in the flat - whether it’s the light falling off the ceiling, door not unlocking etc. Great location though.

Rooms and kitchen in appalling state when arrived maintaince take their sweet time to fix anything , wifi rarely works and staff aren’t bothered to fix it. Painter and decorator smoked a spliff in my room. rat and fly infestations in some blocks not at all worth the money.

After arriving in my filthy room I cleaned it from top to bottom and decorated to make it somewhat cosy but all this was useless due to being placed with horrible flat mates. There was nothing to check the compatibility of people that you are going to be living with for a year. I once went home for 3 weeks for Easter and came back to TEN rotting bin bags where maggots had hatched and there were flies everywhere so I went down to reception to ask for help but was told ‘domestic waste isn’t our concern’ WILMSLOW PARK IS A PRISON

I currently pay £144 a week but there are nicer rooms available for up to £200. Wilmslow park has always made me feel safe living there and maintenance is usually able to fix things within a short space of time if anything does break. It has a large courtyard which is great for socialising and IQ (management) put on events a few times a month for students such as; free noodles on Chinese new year, movie nights, free breakfast. The hub is also one of the best features and residents are allowed to book it out for parties or just play a game of pool/ping pong.
