It was a good balls of residence, great that there was en suite bedrooms! The staff were really nice and when you had a problem it got fixed quite quickly. The only thing I'd say is bad is how you choose a room. It would be good if you could just be allocated a room unless you had specific needs etc. It is more pricey than others but I suppose if you want an en suite then that's what you're paying for. I had a good experience in Winn studios and would recommend anyone to go that's going to uni.

Location of the halls was perfect, super close to the uni and not too far from the nearest supermarket, I had the best flat mates which made the experience so much better. Although the staff didn't want to bother to help with maintenance and we had to get parents involved for them to sort things out. Overall a good experience however was expensive

The beds are very uncomfy and on the small size, you'd expect to at least get a decent quality one for the price. The rooms slightly cramped and overall extremely average. Everythings old and looks outdated, most things show signs of wear and tear. Walls with scuffs and marks on them, hinges falling off etc...

Really great halls of residence, very new and clean with plain but modern decor. The social areas weren't the best when I lived there but I noticed recently they upgraded them so could be a lot better now! Right beside Northumbria business school so no excuse for missing them 9am lectures on a Monday. Room was spacious with lots of storage and a lovely en suite with great shower facilities. On site laundrette was fab but a bit expensive (over £5 to wash and dry one load). Overall a great place to live!

Good location but design of the building isn't great, the tunnelled out centre of the building means that if someone is in the courtyard making noise then the whole accommodation can hear them.

I stayed in these halls Sept 2015 - June 2016. Very helpful staff and the flat was great! Anything working was replaced. Only downfall was there was very little socialising in these halls between flats compared to others I visited - perhaps due to the layout of the flats and the communal area not often being used.

These halls are pricey but I picked them in first year as they seemed modern and had an ensuite. Everything seemed to fall apart throughout the year, I paid extra for a slightly bigger room (not because I requested it but because it was what I was allocated and they would not let me change to a normal) and the rook came with a leak directly from the roof to the middle of the room when it rained, there was a stain on the ceiling where this had clearly happened in previous years yet they still charged extra for the room knowing this happened and pretended they never knew and insisted I was lying when I said the stain was there all along. Radiator in the kitchen broke, windows in the kitchen broke and the bathrooms smelt if egg regularly due to a problem with the drainage system, and none of this was due to recklessness. Location is close to uni but when I was there it was directly next to extremely loud building work 6-5 every week day. Not very sociable, lots of third years and exchange students who stick to themselves. Desk staff were lovely however management seemed rude when you made complaints and wanted issues to be rectified (e.g. Leak, building work which they knew would be happening but failing to tell us about). Plenty of other newer halls now for near enough the same price at a much better standard with more facilities and overall loads better. Do not advise these halls in the slightest, over priced for an old, falling apart building dressed up as modern.

Good location, should have more facilities etc more washing machines, flats are bad quality for the price etc should be more modern, better cookers, things break a lot etc extractor fan.

The accommodation is very close to the university especially to the Business&Law School. It is located in a quiet area, with supermarkets and a GP near by. It is clean and modern. The common room has plenty of things to do with friends on a school night. I would recommend !

Really nice ensuite bathrooms, great location (5 min walk from city campus) which is great cos I’m late for everything lol. Good value for money, close to a small tescos and a huge morrisons up the road in Byker, which is where we do our big shops (because it’s cheaper than tescos). It’s quite social because it’s close to Stephenson, New Bridge Street and Liberty Central and the Shield is next door, so most of the students staying in accommodation live near you. Manors metro is just down the road as well which is great (especially if you have friends at trinity)

I honestly love it at Winn! My room is a good size and having my own bathroom is amazing. Applying to accommodation here is so easy compared to others. My flat are some of the best people I've ever met; we're so close. I honestly couldn't have picked a better place to spend my first year. Reception are great when it comes to collecting post for you and are generally so nice and helpful. I can 100% say if I was in different halls I wouldnt be this happy!
