Location is good - on campus and within 20 mins walk of everything whilst being slightly quieter being at the edge of campus. Facilities were great, the kitchen is plenty big enough for the 12 residents, and the social space was a good size too. Could have had more storage but we just had a lot of stuff! Social experience was very good, there was enough going on in terms of societies and events on campus, but the city also has lots to do and the local area has some lovely parks and activities too. My room was lovely, small but plenty of storage and a very big desk. Ample wardrobe space, but storage in the bathroom could have been improved.

Barton is a lovely place to live. The facilities are brilliant- very new and everything you need is available. The rooms are smaller than average but are well designed with plenty of storage space. The kitchens are very well equipped- much more so than many residences- and feel homely. There is plenty of storage in the kitchen, and the social space is also well thought out with an area of sofa type seating as well as the main table. The block is on the edge of campus, which whilst being less convenient than other blocks, does mean that in general there is less noise (the students are not all boring however- which is what the block has a reputation for). Overall, I love living in BArton and would highly recommend as the additional facilities and modern style are worth the extra £10pw.
