Was miles away from the main campus, in the country side not the uni experience I was expecting on arrival. However the people you meet are excellent. The actual halls were nice, I had an en-suite which I had to pay extra for but was worth it.

A very nice area in the countryside roughly 25 minutes from Nottingham however there isn't much of a social life anywhere nearby. The occasional on campus bar parties try to make up for it and the free hopper bus towards the city help but you can often get bored without much to do. The flats themselves are alright and have everything you need, some may be considered 'nice' as student accomodation goes but they are nothing special. The gym/sports facilities are adequate but quite small and often get very busy. If possible you should definitely bring your car as there is nothing really to do at the weekends and the bus doesn't run that often. There is a small shop on campus however it doesn't have a large range of stock and is quite expensive so people tend to rely on online deliveries or driving to the nearest supermarket.

Located in Sutton Bonington village, which is quite deserted, so a car is definitely useful if you can afford one! Otherwise, need to rely on deliveries for shopping. The village itself is very nice, with events on like firework displays, and a Christmas market in the very near village of Kegworth. The area of Sutton Bonington itself is beautiful, the canal especially. Great place to go for walks. Sutton bonington student village feels like a small community- you know almost everyone on campus, which is great. I can only comment on standard accommodation as I haven't lived in the other types, such as en suite, but the maintenance staff are very helpful - any issue in your flat and they come fix it asap! -, and all rooms are good, despite how much you pay. However there is high variance in room size and facilities (such as kitchen worktop space) between flats that are the same standard of accommodation. Need to always travel for a good night out in the city though, and therefore need to get a taxi home (at a set £18.50 fee), but this is fine if you get at least 3 people (including yourself) to split it with.

The location overall was a bit in the middle of nowhere however the rooms were nice and spacious. I did feel at home here.

If your looking for a more isolated and quiet university experience, this is the place to stay. Has a bar and a dance floor. Takes about 30 minutes to get into Nottingham. There is a strong sense of community as it so small. A gym membership will set you back £200 which is outrageous and the gym itself is very small. There aren’t many societies on the campus but getting into main Nottingham is free and easy as buses are frequent. The rooms are pretty standard. The food isn’t the best but it will fill you most of the time.

Has all basic ammenities and staff are generally quick to maintain. But very basic. They show you more modern downstairs, but upstairs isnt as modern. Also lift was out of use for a few weeks, but Im sure if someone was disabled they would have fixed quicker. Also 4 new keys cost £60, if you have only lost two, it still costs £60.

Get a lot for your money with shared bathroom. Facilities are good. Location is out of the city but buses in are quite regular. Rooms are nice and spacious.

The cost of the accommodation is very good value for what you get, particularly in shared bathroom facilities.

Standard plus Em suite rooms are really nice, would recommend. Location is extremely poor though and CLV staff can be quite rude at times

I like the idea of part catered, food is steadily improving. Rooms are of variety of sizes and quality so value for money varies.

I was in one of the cheaper accommodations for first year. My block was called Wymeswold and, although a little dingy and old fashioned it definitely felt like home. The flats consisted of 7/8 bed halls with mixed genders. The kitchen and communal area was reasonable but may have benefited from being bigger with better quality furniture. Bathrooms were shared, however we had 5 showers/toilets between 7 of us so we never had any problems. Bedrooms are spacious and well laid out, rooms appeared to be much more generous with space than some of the newer buildings. I moved out of halls due to housing being approximately 30-40 pounds (bills inc) cheaper per month than living in halls.

The location of the halls is on campus which is good for getting to lectures in a short space of time. The accommodation staff are great to speak to in person and are really friendly. The rooms are also of good quality and if anything is wrong then maintenance comes quickly to try and resolve the issue. Wifi is ok not great, it can be a bit hit and miss.

The location is very rural but connected to nottingham via bus routes. It's close to loughborough meaning you can also have nights out there as well. The accommodation is basic but clean. The parties on campus are not like most university parties and almost everything on campus is farm themed.

I was happy with my room - I was living in Barton. The flats in this building are modern and a good size. The CLV team are really helpful with maintenance - anything that you report tends to be fixed very quickly. The only down side of these halls that I can think of is that they can be a little quiet and isolated, since they are so far from town.

This is set on a campus in the countryside. The old buildings are beautiful with high ceilings and lits of space. My room is spacious and we share 3 bathrooms, large kitchen and latge lounge/diner between 6. Very nice flat

Decently priced accommodation - variety of accommodation to choose from so can accommodate all. Only downside is the forced catered option - if you live on Sutton bonington then you have no choice but to have the catered option which some prefer but most thoroughly dislike as it’s rather expensive and people prefer to cook for themselves.

Staff all incredibly helpful and approachable, facilities very good for price Very social atmosphere and good congregation areas. Rooms are clean and a decent size, and there were no issues in getting a deposit back. Only downside is location as it is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but then again the hall is on campus where all my lectures are so it balances out well.
