Florence Boot Hall has very spacious rooms, a great JCR for socialising and meeting new people, a good dining hall with great catering staff and the hall porters above all else are outstanding, making an effort to deal with your concerns. Only downside is that the hall is slightly isolated from the other halls on campus.

The hall itself is quite communal, and it feels quite homely in some respects. As the year wound on people generally got to know each other quite well and the social side of things was rather pleasant. The hall itself has a quite rustic feel to it - it’s the oldest hall on campus. Definitely recommend.

Florence Boot Hall was a great experience, I can’t tell if it was the people or the environment that caused it to be so. I loved being down the corridor from so many of my friends and bumping into people that you tend to lose contact with once you move through your degree course. The kitchen staff are lovely, find some common ground and you’ll get all the extra desserts, fruit and seconds you like. The bar is always closed which is a real shame, it would have been nice to have this feature in use. Comparing its social space to halls like Willoughby, it isn’t saying a lot but it’s the cosy and beautiful architecture, field and tennis courts that make it a wonderful place to live.

The hall itself is brilliant with a great common room with a pool table, table football and table tennis. Also a small bar which unfortunately isn’t open very often. A lounge is also available along with the Library for studying. Only downside is that the catered food is not very good. No flavour and not enough choice.

The staff, such as warden and cooks are so lovely and nice, and make you feel cared about. Florence Boot as a community is great because it's such as small hall(200 people) everyone gets to know each other. There is a large jcr with a pool table and foosball. The location is good for humanities students. However the standard rooms are quite small, would be better if they were bigger.

Not great location from lectures and everything else on campus but that's the only downside. Amazing old school style halls where there's always something fun or crazy going on

Good hall overall. The staff are all very nice and helpful when issues arise but I wish they did more activities to bring people from the hall together especially those who haven’t managed to make any friends

Stayed here four years ago and had a blast! Due to the open layout of this small hall it is very sociable. Most staff were nice and helpful.

Very good layout which enabled a social atmosphere with a very good common room. One thing that perhaps let's it down a little is the quality of the food
